Kumho Ecsta SPTs, 195/55R15 85V, mounted to my GD1 Jazz.
Tires are currently very fresh - about 3 days old - but they're very impressive. They ride very well, are surprisingly quiet, and grip well wet or dry. You'd have to do some stupid things to unstick them, and even if you do, the grip comes and goes in a progressive manner.
To think that they're not done with the scrubbing-in period yet. Color me amazed.

August 11th, 2010 01:07 PM #534Sirs, Ano magandang brand ng tires for our 2001 hiace grandia? yung maganda ang ride hindi masyado maingay. bridgestone 195/70 r15 gamit ko ngayon. 3K - 4K ang budget. Kung may cheaper pa mas ok.

August 12th, 2010 05:14 PM #536I noticed that Falken tires are getting quite affordable equal to Indonesian, Thai or Taiwan brands. I'm assuming its still a Japanese brand but made in Southeast Asia. Should they still be better than Indonesian, Thai brands such as Neuton or GT?

R623 is good, OEM ng older Starex at mg L300 ngayon. GT & Kumho are decent brands but I'd stay away from China brands if I were you.
Ok lang na made in China basta known brand names but if Chinese sounding ang name watch out. They have a bad habit of changing production specs to make great profits. When a new China brand first comes out it will usually be good quality. Magugustuhan ng market dahil maganda at mura you cannot believe how the expensive top name brands could possibly be selling the volume they are. After that they will slowly (sometimes abruptly) use less quality raw material to make up for losses incurred during the "pagpapakilala" period. At this point, blow outs galore.

There is this new tire at the Campi show. Finixx. They claim that these tires will never go flat. You could even puncture the display units and no air will go out.

Yun nga lang, the price of one tire is equal to 2-3 tires, depending on what brand.
