April 15th, 2011 03:53 PM #832a little disappointed with the comfort... i thought fxt is overrated on this category (matagtag din) and the noise was intense especially when it's a concrete road..maybe it's because of the rubber?but otherwise, impressed with the power and handling

Compared to what?
My 07's ride was comparable to an 04 Accord. But it cant hold a candle to an 11 Accord -- specially after my unit got Ondoyed.
Pero check mo din tire pressure. They pump that up to 40 in storage and may have forgotten to deflate it back.
A psi about 27 usually gives the best NVH but it's not safe specially if the tires are older already.

pup2 has a point, maybe tire pressures lang yan.
What car do you base your comfort judgement on, though? It's no limo, but it's surely more comfortable than a truck based SUV, isn't it? If you think that's stiff, you should try riding in older models. Our 04 Forester is *quite* stiff.
btw sir pup2, do they really pump it up to 40 in storage? gee.

they do. it's around 36-38 when i got mine.
for comfort, i usually inflate it around 28. magiinflate pa ng konti yan pag uminit on the road.

April 19th, 2011 11:12 PM #836maybe because im used to large suvs.large wheels and tires give a quiter and smoother ride. im comparing it with fortuner, hilux and explorer (most comfortable).that's my observation.fxt is my first compact suv. pag nalulubak ang fxt ng mabilis parang may bumabagsak sa likod. it guess tumatalon ung mga tools at spare

weird, i've driven a couple of fortuners some of them even have aftermarket rims and tires, an explorer and owned a hilux. lahat sila mas matagtag compared to the forester. just like everyone said check your tire pressure, if that still doesn't work go to one of the subaru eb's and try riding some of the forester and see if there's a difference. i've also driven a couple of foresters with modded suspension which makes the ride stiffer and mas matagtag parin ang hilux and fortuner don.

^ quite weird nga yan. Yung FXT ng kakilala ko suwabe na suwabe ride, parang mas maganda pa ng sa SF eh and definitely above MS, Fort at Hilux. Baka nga sa tire pressure yan.

April 20th, 2011 11:18 AM #840just checked the tire pressure. and it's true.. it gauges at 38psi. released some air now it's 30psi.test again. gumanda ng konti takbo. but still.. i dont know guys if your familiar with the stripes on the road that tells u to slow down? dun ko kinompare ung comfort.. tagtag talaga fxt compared to full sized suv na mas malaki ang gulong...parang wala lang ung nakaportrud na stripes. im certain that it's the size of the wheel. but i dont know if tama ung batayan ko para sukatin ung comfort ng fxt
