I can't believe this. I was pretty depressed with my high BP so I went for a long walk to the mall (1.25 km one way). When I got back at work, I sat for a few minutes and had my BP taken again. It was 120/70 na. That's my normal BP. I thought it would go up because I had a long fast walk. So tomorrow I swear I will do my treadmill. But I am still feeling lightheaded. I called 2 cardiologists and they are both on leave until the first week of September.

I think its the pollution- in the normal hours. Best time to walk is after the particulates have settled. Around 4-5am before those smoke belching trucks start to move. Some areas near the factories are also uninhabitable

Eliminate salt in your diet and you'll be extending your life another 10 years.
Besides avoiding the obvious salty food, dont add table salt to any dish anymore and avoid patis completely.

Yes sir, if inactive or doesnt sweat a lot, consume no more than 2300mg, if you workout, sweat a lot and see crust of salt on your black shirt, sakin it manifest on ball caps, add some salt on your diet...if youre not hb and salt sensitive..

If you start seeing "stars" or "fireflies", then you've really overexerted yourself. You will really need to stop and administer first aid.

    Either:
    - sit down, loosen your pants, stoop until your head is below knee level, or
    - lie on your back, loosen your pants, then elevate your knees or legs above your head(preferred)

The idea is to help blood flow back to your brain.

imho, do it gradually. The point of exercising is to get healthy, not demoralized or injured. But do add intensity/duration/etc. or else di ka rin aasenso.

Make the walks a regular part of your daily routine, say at least 4x a week. How you do it depends on your schedule.

Stick with walks for now. Take it easy. Once the light-headed feeling subside then you can think about gradually increasing the tempo. My provider said the same thing to me. Be careful about overexerting yourself. I would imagine some "fit" people died because they exercised more than their body can handle.

My provider worries about me playing full-court basketball. So, I've cut back on that too. I now avoid even half-court games because it's too easy to injure my knees or ankles. I stick to basketball drills like 21 or one vs one.
