There was wisdom in the suggestion before that the PH MBT should be paid like pro players. Para they get the best talaga. Eh ang katayuan ngayon, kelangan mag "contribute" ng players ang mga PBA teams. Sometimes, begrudgingly.

Problem is the budget. Withy that much moolah we should deifinitely use such funds for those sports we have a realistic chane of getting better awards in international competition unlike BB which is just 1 game but there are so many players and the cost is really high to train them to compete internationally as tune-up games.

I prefer that if we really want a better prepared team then the PBA has to make a sacrifice and just have 2 conference (All-Filipino and the last reinforced conference so that PBA players can participate).

Regarding sa PBA, I hope mag change na sila in all facets, namely (some suggestions for me):

- change of playing calendar (October-June)
- one whole season of playing (scrap 3 conference format); if not possible, 2 conferences will do
- full FIBA rules na dapat yung basketball games, and getting rid of the FIBA-NBA Hybrid rules that the PBA current employs
- team owners will unconditionally lend players to the national team if they have competitions (Fiba sanctioned games)

For Asian countries to be competitive, fiba would probably need to change their rules and allow 5 naturalized players. Otherwise mga saling pusa lng mga to.

Never believed in that thug as a basketball coach anyway. Baka sa liga ng barangay sa Pampanga pwede pa siya! Grrr...

SBP should cast the net far and wide to get talent into the Gilas pool. Was wondering nga if they could still replicate what Danding did for the Philippine basketball team when he was able to get 3 naturalized players.

Afaik FIBA rules only allow 1 naturalized player nowadays. So it might be difficult to replicate now unless there is a rule change.

A european coach would be really needed as well so outside shooting and ball movement would be prioritized although Coach Chots' dribble drive system seems to work as well. Just really need that ideal manpower.
