Hahaha, they still use this in China sa mga public restrooms, if you think of it, mas hygienic ito kasi yung pw*t mo di papatong sa toilet seat, but it very hard to squat, notice nyo mga TDK sa manila pag may hinihintay or nag yoyosi sa labas pag umupo sila ay naka squat, sanay na sila eh.

Its an Asian-style toilet. Ganyan din style sa Japan (some public restrooms and schools) kaya minsan ang baho. Mas worse pa nga sa Japan kasi you have to squat facing the hole, whereas in China, HK, Taiwan you squat over it. Pero alam ko pinapalitan na ito into western-style toiletsdue to partly an aging population and partly to attract more tourists. But as pointed out, the former style is indeed more hygieneic (arguably).

The human anatomy evolved to poop in a squatting position... Only Europeans started to sit on it.

may post ako dati about jan.

So buy ang bangkito or any stool na pwede tungtungan ng paa.

Sit like a queen, don’t squat like a frog!”

    Kahit sa men’s din:

Please don’t squat on the toilet bowl

Please do not flush napkins, use the trash bin provided.”

Madami naman “squat type” toilets in Asia, even in more affluent countries. I’ve come across these in Malaysia/Singapore, Korea (bihira), but most noticeably Japan.

Everytime we’re there, napapansin ni Mrs. sa pila for the toilets in Japan, halos lahat ng girls (the locals) go straight to the cubicles with the squat toilets, siya lang gumamit ng western style.

She didn’t sit on the western style toilet either though, and NO, she didn’t squat on the rim. Amusedly, one of the chief gripes I hear from the women in the family is that one big drawback of being a girl is ang hirap gumamit ng CR, even just to pee.

Mga cowboy babae sa pamilya namin, but none of them ever sit on the toilet basta public CR. What they do is… ay, ask your wives, girlfriends, relatives (and hopefully hindi sila yung burara na babae)

Dati kasi some squat on the toilet bowl, makikita mo yung mark ng sapatos sa toilet bowl.
