Yes basta it's the quad-core one. Sulit yan. Pati the i3 that has an i5 quad core too and 8GB.
My MBP is the dual-core one pa, but nagagamit ko naman for video editing. Mas tipid din talaga sa resources ang Mac OS so it feels as snappy as my Windows laptop na quad-core/16GB.
Waiting for the ARM-powered MBP next year before upgrading para big jump din from current.

What I noticed about Macs is they don't age too fast, dami ko kakilala mag 10 years na MB nila pero ok pa din, add lang ng RAM and SSD. Can't say the same for the newer models though kasi soldered lahat.
Ang hirap i-justify ng 30,000 price gap between 8th gen vs 10th gen MBP 2020 [emoji17] but hardware wise the 10th gen has better cooling system (2 fans), better speaker, and extra Thunderbolt 3 ports on the right side.
An officemate ordered the 10th gen (or 4 Thunderbolt model as they call it) on Amazon, baka daw 2nd week of November ang dating, pero gagamitin niya for video editing naman. [emoji16]
Last October 24th yata Asus launched their 11th gen Vivobook and Zenbook with Thunderbolt 4 na, significantly cheaper and technically more advanced pero naisip ko pass muna sa Windows, I still have my old laptop and destop naman for Windows stuff.

10th gen i5 also has 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. Since soldered, best to get the highest available specs off the bat since you can't upgrade.
Macs hold value very well anyway so if after 5 years bebenta mo siya, yung 15k difference ng 8th gen i5/8GB and 10th gen i5/16GB mababawi rin. And of course the 10th gen i5 will last much longer too.
My sister still has the MBP I gave her when she graduated high school, pero super bagal na. It's not just the RAM and HDD, even processor (early i5 dual core) just isn't fast enough for today. And super bulky pa niya with a CD drive. So even if it's a 13.3, it's bigger than most 14" ultrabooks today.

October 29th, 2020 08:31 AM #497Yay the price gouging on the rtx 3080 can finally stop with this launch of AMD graphics cards.
In lazada...a 3080 rtx is about 59k. Which is nuts. Should be like 40k max.

October 29th, 2020 10:00 AM #498Didn't realize that I'd be content with 30fps until I played MS Flight Sim.
Amazing visuals! I can just aimlessly fly around for hours.
