July 3rd, 2014 10:19 PM #153Yes they look good on the 1.8, if I recall it correctly, the 1.6 CVT also has LED as park lights. The only thing is, when you turn on the park lights (LED), the fog lamps also turns on. Sorry, I haven't read the manual completely, so I haven't figure it out if the fog lamp has a different switch or it is incorporated on the park light switch.

July 3rd, 2014 10:41 PM #155You can switch off the fog lights separately. On the headlight lever at the steering wheel the middle section is operable. Just move the fog light to the off position =) So when you switch on the LED lights (even as daytime running lights) the foglights won't turn on. =)
Also, yes. The manual showed it in a diagram =) I was a slightly sad panda after I found out it wasn't there. But happy again after I drove it around town. haha! =)

It's easy to find a switch that will fill the blanks so you can install one for a fog light. Haven't really used it yet. It really puzzles me why people here in metro manila use fog lights when there is NO fog... hehe.
Pwede kaya tayo mag-install ng higher than 35w na xenon? Meron kayang 40w or pataas that will not melt the headlight assembly? Gusto ko lang mas magkaroon ng density yung illumination. At this time, with the front of the car as the vertex, it's around 120 degrees or more, yeah even the sides have projected daylight. This is evident when you are entering a street. It's more than adequate, I'm just curious if there's better.
Also, has anyone got paint protection like Big Bert's paint protection/optiguard or Ziebart diamond gloss? Ok ba talaga?

Yes Krazeyrock, mine is 1.8 and they do used 4 liters of synthetic oil.
Anybody here experience a different sound when closing your driver door? during my 1k PMS i told nissan shaw about that sound and they said that, that is one minor problem that they encountered with SYLPHY. Even the fresh pull out from the plant has that problem. I have to bring it back to them since my wife who brought the car during the PMS needs to be on the road before 3pm because of the number coding.
one more thing, my third brake light cover is not fixed, hearing irritating sound during travel. will include that when i bring the car to nissan shaw.Last edited by SELEGNA_35; July 4th, 2014 at 10:27 AM.

July 4th, 2014 04:47 PM #159Regarding the Driver's door. Yes. It sounds a bit off to me when I close it. A nitpick maybe but I think it's regarding not being light in the alignment. I expected it to close like a Ford (solid) but I sort of hear a bit of metal like it lacks a bit of insulation for some reason. I will ask about it during my 1k PMS if it doesn't go away. A fit and finish thing maybe. But I recall the showroom units sounding like that as well. If they can adjust it, that would be great.
I'll have to check the third brake light. I did not notice any rattling when I drove it around.
For now, I've drive the car about 160kms and I am already at half tank as per the gauge. I am hoping that the fuel light will switch on when I have consumed 40L so that the FC is acceptable =) I have no schedule to drive it on the highway yet so I can't test it out. T.T

Thats it, if you will compare it with the passenger side and other two doors it really sound different. yes it has something about metal sound. before i ended with my sylphy i already rejected two sylphys because of that sound, just like what nissan shaw told me, its kind of quality control thing, no wonder the showroom display sounds the same. Its a good thing i have compared it with the other Black sylphy display that i checked before getting a white sylphy.
Dont accept if ever your Service Advisor tells you that it is normal with the sylphy, because its not, they should do something about it.
With more than 1k on ODO, I am averaging 9-10k/l according to the computer city driving with minimal traffic. We will be going to tagaytay this weekend, lets see what highway driving will give me.
As expected, in response to Tesla’s entry into the Philippines market, Ford will be bringing in the...
