HID bulbs doesn't color shift to yellow.
They start yellowish (for 4300K, usual color temp ng nakakabit sa Stock HL) then color shifts toward the higher kelvin range while at the same time losing lumens.
So nagiging bluish or pinkish depending on brand. Newer bulbs tends to maintain color temp longer but still lose lumens.
During start up, pagka-on ng ilaw, nagbabago pa ang kulay at intensity.
OEM ballasts usually has fast start up time so after around 20 sec full brightness na yun at yun na yung tamang kulay ng ilaw.
Kung gusto nyo ng whiter color, change bulb to 5000K - 600K range, like Osram Xenarc 66240 CBI, Philips Ultinon 85122XV or 85122 WX.
Basta wag ng lalagpas sa 6000K color, masyado ng bluish above it and mas mababa ang lumens ng bulb the higher the color temp.

August 18th, 2014 06:20 PM #253Just to update fuel consumption 1.6 CVT
Fuel: Seaoil Extreme 97 Unleaded
average speed throughout: 15kmph
Computer estimated FC = 8.9km/l
Actual manually computed FC: 8.1km/l
Accuracy of computer readout: 91%
Will be having my 1k PMS this week, hope that improves the FC accuracy a bit. But that traffic is really tanking my FC during weekdays. It really can't be helped.

August 19th, 2014 03:48 PM #255We are now finalizing our car loan application to get the Sylphy. Still undecided though on the color to get... white or gray? Friends told me to just get the gray kasi dahil dun sa effects ng pollution sa white. But my wife really like the white color. your thoughts sirs?
We really wanted a high car because of the flood like Montero or Sportage kaso daming cons kami naririnig. Hope we made the right decision.
Anyway been a Nissan owner for the past 15 years.

August 19th, 2014 06:37 PM #256What do you mean by "natataas"? Itaas yung wiper just like any other car by pulling it up? I think the sylphy's hood is blocking the wiper for you to raise it up. But there is a technique for that, you need to turn the ignition in "on" position without starting the engine and then do a wiper spray (I don't know how to describe it, but it is somewhat tapping up the wiper control) on the wiper handle and the wiper will move on the center position of your windshield. Then you can pull it up so that it will not touch the windshield anymore or during those times that you need to replace it. This is what my agent told me to take caution specially during refuelling as most gas station attendants offer to clean your windshield. They might scratch the edge of your hood if they are not careful and force your wiper up.

August 19th, 2014 06:53 PM #257Wow! That is great!
Hopefully another soon to be sylphy owner. Just a consolation from your high car choices, the sylphy is somehow much higher in terms of ground clearance if you would notice it compare to civic and altis. Or is it just me?
But of course it is no match for the height of the montero or sportage since it is on suv category. It will still depend on how you will use your vehicle. If flooding is a constant problem in your area then an suv might be a good choice. But you will have a premium feel on the sylphy considering for its price. The white color is indeed good and I have seen a lot of it lately. You just need an extra TLC (tender loving care) to keep it in pristine condition. Goodluck on your decision and keep us posted if you have finally decided on the sylphy.
There is also a review on the sylphy on another website, I don't know if I can post the name of the website here but you can google it (it starts with auto). A white sylphy is featured there.

August 19th, 2014 08:25 PM #259I am not sure what you mean by dual here. I may be wrong here but with the dual zone button switched off, cold air is still blowing out of the rear vents for me.
When it is switched on, it simply allows the left and right side of the Sylphy to have different temperatures, hence the dual zone climate control. But I don't know how that dual zone affects the temperature of the rear A/C Vents and what temperature the rear A/C vents will follow in the dual zone mode. hehe!
So with regards to your question, A/C is switched on but I don't normally use the dual zone and have the whole cabin under 1 temp (I don't close off the rear vents in this situation).
I just got a good trip early this afternoon clocking in about 70kms and when I was about to return (GASP!) traffic was a crawl in Manila because of flooding. I just managed to raise the average speed to 18kmph, its now back down to 15kmph with the trip computer displaying 9.2km/l down from 10.1km/l before the horrible traffic. Aaarghh..
