[QUOTE=badkuk;2289796]Ang sabi kasi sa akin, most China gensets/engines, aluminum daw ang gamit sa motor windings vs. copper, which is bad..kaya umiiwas ako sa China made
not true po... like cummins gensets, all units is in accordance with the global quality standard of cummins usa sir...
you can even verify po sa cummins phils. kung original po yun... kung magkaron din ng mechanical problem yung engine... pwede din ang CUMMINS phils ang gumawa po nyan.. provided under warranty pa din yung unit na binile nyo...
Even UK made PERKINS, German brand na duetz, US MADE CUMMINS, CATTERPILAR, pati mga german trucks and vehicles (MANUFACTURED by weichai) lahat po yan galing china din lang...
maliban sa US MADE Cummins--- yung cylinder head and engine block manufactured talaga sa US.
but everything else is made in china na, including the alternator or dynamo (heart of a generator)... the controller (brain)...
According po sa mga technicians dun sa china... the difference between china made cummins and USA made cummins engine block and cylinder head is the metalurgy.. there's a 2% difference daw po... pero pag dating sa price double na agad ang price ng US made cummins...
There was a time may nag order po samin ng noozle FOR 1000kva US MADE CUMMINS.... they gave us THE sample noozle... IT reads MADE IN USA... ang sabi po namin... meron kami nyan.. parehong pareho pati part no. etc... PERO managagaling pa ng CUMMINS china.. WE told them pareho lang ang gamit na noozle ng china made and us made cummins....
ayaw nila maniwala na made in china din yun noozle na nakakabit sa genset nila at galing daw talaga ng U.S. YUN...
sabi nila PAG U.S. made daw... dapat daw may made in usa na naka engrave...
NUNG dumating na yung noozle... they compared the two... parehong pareho pati may markings din na made in USA....
kami kasi sir.. honest seller kami.. kahit naka engrave pa na made in USA PA YAN.. kung sa china namin binile sasabihin talaga namin na made in china din yan... pero ang quality is in accordance with the global quality of cummins..
YUNG mga generator naman na cummins na pumapalya malamang galing po sa mga gumagawa ng fake na cummins yun sa china... or galing INDIA... OR hindi maganda ang pagka recondition na Cummins po yun at ipinapasa as brand new... OR ppwede din Factory defect...

February 10th, 2014 04:19 PM #292sir glenn, sent you PM...
Eto na po ba yun?
Yanma Machinery - Diesel Generators
Grabe pala price diff ng China- and Japan-made...in some cases more than x3 for a 5-6.7kvA diesel unit
btw, i did some reading on the copper vs aluminum winding thing...came across a paper that says aluminum it not necessarily inferior to copper, depende rin daw sa design ng motor to take advantage/adapt to aluminum windings.

" Derek" china made pero ito usually ang rebrand or rebage ng ibang company tapos sasabihin nilang US OR JAPAN Brand... THEN jack up nila ng 2-3X ang price... actually rebrand din namin ito...
to be honest hindi pa namin personally subok itong generator na ito... ang balak ko dito gamitin namin ng continues for 2 weeks on prime power... or hangang tumirik...

February 11th, 2014 10:20 AM #294sorry sir, akala ko nagcacarry kayo ng Yanma :p i think it's a play on the Yanmar brand. Nung niresearch ko, the engine models they use for their generators match those of earlier(80's) Yanmar engines. Dunno if they licensed the technology or "adopted" it <wink wink nudge nudge>.

How much are 10 KVA & 20 KVA gas and diesel generators? If used 2-4 hours per day for a month or two, would a diesel generator still be worth it's price over a gasoline one?
