dad left us an SX-990, but its knobs are all frozen from non-use. it comes with a pair of 12 inch woofers, midranges, and tweeters of olde.
perhaps it's time to resurrect the thing.
anyone recommend a shop or person?

there may be a common definition of a grail watch, but in truth,
a grail watch is what you make of it.

as a watcfh aficionado once put it,
"a grail watch is a watch that you covet, until the next grail watch comes along."

A kumpare told me about this simple rule he and his wife abide to: they will match the cost of whatever the other partner wants to buy, e.g. if the man buys a 6 digit expensive watch the wife can match it with an LV bag.

there was a time, they were reasonably priced... back when transistors were still young... the 60s and 70s...
some aficionadoes today swear the sound of de-tubo is something solid states can't copy...

I miss the headphiles.org forum. Ang daming magandang topics dun. That's where I learn a lot about headphones. They also have a music section there that give your headphone some challenging music where it can shine if it's a good quality headphone.
