September 9th, 2007 11:38 PM #12baka naka-region lock yung pioneer at philips ninyo kaya mapili? a friend of mine talked the matter out with the service center (pioneer) at ipinaalis niya yung region lock...cost P500 (no receipt).
baka ganun lang din sa philips service center?!?

Hindi kaya defective? I remember yung ad ng Philips dati, "King of DVD's" kasi they can play almost anything, even DVD's na hindi mabasa ng ibang players. May money-back guarantee pa nga yata. Pero this was the time na yung entry-level DVD nila ay 6k (others were retailing at 4k).
May pinang-regalo yung misis ko na DVD sa utol niya, 1.9k lang, may USB port, and can play the usual formats, MP3, Photo CD's, DVD-R/+R, CDRW, DivX, etc. May 1 year warranty pa. Can't remember the brand, though.

last saturday napadaan ako sa SM Appliance Center OK na OK yung Nextbase na P3.6K USB Ready na un, tas yung white na luma P2.6K na lang.. waaaaaaa.. pede pa installment 3mos. 0%

I had a similar thread last December. Tsikoteers recommended Xenon (off-brand version of Pioneer. Okey naman. Satisfied user.

i believe philipps still is the king of cd/dvds... they can play discs that cant be played in pioneer... anyway kanya-kanyang exp...
