just because you don't like one thing doesn't mean it isn't the best, the best doesn't always work for everyone.
i never lay claim to anything that i've bought that it's the best. being the best entails big shoes to fill, being the best means no one is above you, no one can beat you in terms of performance, price and function. your definition of best is flawed when you said that it doesn't always work for everyone

how do you know that they are not apple fanboys? do you know for a fact that they've tried all other smartphones, tested them thorouthly? who cares if that's what they do for a living, does it mean that you or i can't be better than them?

Globe & Smart to offer the Samsung Galaxy S3 this May

Based on the number of tweets from Globe Telecom and Smart Comm., it looks like both telcos will be offering the new Samsung Galaxy S3 this May.

The date has not yet been set but according to Samsung reps, it will be either May 22 or May 24. I am betting on May 24 though if this is going to be a huge launch between the two carriers.

Globe’s tweet was subtle but already contains the #globegalaxys3 hashtag:

Smart’s recent tweet was a bit bold and contains photos of the Galaxy S3 itself (#smartgalaxys3):

The last time we saw this kind of tweet-fight was during the launch of the iPhone 4S back in December. My guess is that the Galaxy S3 will get the same treatment, considering the popularity and sales of the Galaxy S2 in both networks.

We’ll just have to wait and see. That’s just two weeks to go.

In late 2010, I got into the Android bandwagon and bought an HTC Desire Z. After the excitement has gone, about the only two things I like about this phone is the Z-hinged qwerty keyboard and the hotspot capability. Beyond that, the phone sucks. It sucks at the most fundamental and mundane things that a phone should be able to do right out of the box. The touchscreen is sluggish. The home screen crashes at random ("re-springs" on its own in iOS-speak). Screen refreshes takes forever. Switching from portrait to landscape and vice versa takes 5 or so seconds. Did I say it's sluggish?

Owning an iPad 1 (early 2011) and then an iPad 2 (mid 2011) gave me a chance to play around with iOS. I was blown away. I'll have to agree that it has its own quirks and oddities, but the platform is definitely more refined, stable and user-friendly.

If you look at smartphones spec for spec, the iPhone is definitely not at the bleeding edge. But to me, the actual user experience is preceivably worlds apart from its counterparts that sports more CPU and memory.

FWIW, Android is an excellent OS... if and when it worked flawlessly. The added complexity and ability to be customized, as well as the need to support a multitude of different hardware, is both an advantage and disadvantage for Android.

I am waiting for the Lumia 900. It is a best seller in the states and I think that this is the phone that will give traction to the windows mobile platform.

so wala palang clear cut na winner dito... planning to buy either samsung galxy II or iphone 4S (paglabas na ng S3 at 5 series para mas mura).
kasi nung hinahanap ko yung project pics na kuha ko with my digicam, my boss said "bili ka na kasi ng iphone" para mas mabilis maghanap. yes this is only the main reason why i'm scouting one...
i find iphone 4s very easy to use in terms of photo management. ano ba ang feedback sa galaxy SII?

Both have 8 mp photo camera and 1080P video recording. The 4s has better aperture at F2.4, which capture darker scenes. Matakaw sa memory lang since 8mp consume up to 3.6mb. And 1080P video can consume 1GB for a 10 minute video. The Galaxy S2 has a external micro SD card slot which can allow up to 32 GB.
