Smart/sun man sya o globe. Shadow doesn't know what he's talking about

Yes Local Networks do unlock old Iphones. Smart unlocked my old IP5S. You do have to comply to the following requirements:

    1) Written request from subscriber on record indicating SMART number (signed soft copy)
    2) Completion of contract
    3) No outstanding balance
    4) Specific unit was not reported lost/stolen
    5) IMEI should be provided in notepad format

Took them less than a day to process. Once all requirements were met.

Another thing, go through their social media accounts. Thats what i did. I literally had a conversation with them on FB messenger. I tried both, through social media and e-mail. Took them at least two weeks to reply by email.

Not all areas have the same signal reception, that is why having both Globe/TM or Smart/Tnt?Sun sim is useful. Moreover in my experience, yung mga customers nga na uses 1 sim only, they have the option to call ir text you without worrying is ma-check operator sila hehehe.

Not all my customers and employees have dual sim or postpaid plan so they do need the option to contact me at either network. Para tipid on their part.

I don't like 2 phones as well kasi nga parang hassle na, kaya matagal ko na sinsabi na sana mga totl phoen may dual sim version. Finally meron na nga kaya ayus na ayus for me. Dual sim tapos maganda pa specs. Battery endurance have improved na din talaga whether due to hardware or software optimizations/technological advancements.

Doesn't need to worry about load balance or charges

That's probably the only valid reason. Let me be clear mukhang tanga pag maraming dalang cellphones then pag nasa labas nakatpatong-patong sa table.

Ayaw matawagan.

Different kinds of businesses i assume

So another sim slot na naman hahaha

I came from plan 2500, then after my contract, went down to plan 499 (3GB data). I needed more data so upgraded again to 799 (6GB data). When I ran the numbers, it's cheaper to just get a lower plan and buy a phone in cash.

    Hmm pano naging 3GB = 2.5 hrs?

I'm online the entire day so ubos na kagad sakin yang 2.5 hours na yan.
