For as long as the wires are properly connected,- and the inner wires properly wrapped (insulated), there should be no issue with the outer wires not wrapped by itself... Yup, just insulate the whole thing....

Now,- let's move on to the house electrical wiring inside your ceiling....

Replacement power adapters can be bought for cheap online on Lazada or Shopee. The replacement power adapter I got which has a rectangular plug has lasted for over a year now.

bring it to the, even generic, laptop store, po.
if parts are available, they can fix it. if the part is not available, lozada is the way!
    good luck.

repair-ability is always dependent on parts avail-ability.

    Specific model?

More importantly, does it support USB-C Power Delivery (PD)?

Because if it can take USB-C PD, it's going to be more versatile to get that instead of the proprietary AC adapter. USB-C PD can also be used to charge or power your other USB devices.

You just need to do three things:
    1. Get the Wattage of the original AC adapter. This is printed on the adapter itself. Pretty common is 65W
    2. Buy a USB-C PD adapter that is capable of at least 65W (as per my example). Bigger Wattage is ok, but not smaller than the Wattage of the OEM charger.
    3. Buy a USB-C to USB-C cable in the length that you need that is capable of the required Wattage. No harm in over-rating it, so a 100W cable for a 65W charger would be just fine.

I am currently using 3rd-party chargers for my HP EliteBook laptop... a Lenovo USB-C PD AC adaptor fixed to my office desk, and a smaller/portable EYD GaN USB-C PD charger, both are 65W (the EYD can charge both my phone and laptop simultaneously, and a 3rd port to charge my wireless earphones).

    Lenovo 65W USB-C PD

    EYD GaN 65W USB-C PD

    Essager 100W PD USB-C to USB-C cable
