Do not buy uhd TV if hindi naman UHD mga movies mo. Sayang lang. FULL HD are enough.

What's weird at home here is the two oldest TV brands we have are Dynex and Emerson, both from 2010.

The Dynex are two 24" 1080p TVs being used as computer monitors. I bought them at Best Buy. Even with the backlit light at 100% ever since we bought them, both TVs still work great.

The Emerson (Funai, Japan) is a 39" 1080p TV. It's the biggest size that will fit in our old entertainment center. There are horror stories about the Funai brand. But, I didn't buy the lowest priced one. I guess we've been lucky.

Otherwise, the main brand for our TVs are Sony Bravias. We have a 55" Bravia at the master bedroom and a 48" in the kitchen. We used to have an older 42" Bravia. But, we gave it to our niece when she moved to an apartment of her own.

We've had two TVs die on us. Our very first LCD TV was a 32" 2003 720p Magnavox. It died completely in 2010. We also have a 32" 2014 720p Hisense LED TV that used to be in the kitchen. The backlit light went out this year. I plan on getting the backlit light replaced and use it as an external monitor for my laptop. But, I won't leave the backlit light at 100%.

Majority of the houses in the Philippines do not have grounding. The power distribution here in MM uses a split phase system - two hots and 1 neutral ground. 1 hot is 110v and the other hot is 110v giving you a total of 220v nominal. Nothing is connected to the neutral ground.

    Hi brush

    And how to correct?

I missed the Trinitron days too. I remember when our living room TV and PC aperture grille CRT monitors were Trinitrons.

The WEGAs were floor model flatscreens (I think) with their own built-in cabinets. We skipped them. But, my uncle had one for a long time.
