Kimps,
Bihira din kami magkita ni Afrasay coz of his sched. Anyway, I'll text him nalang. Hehe, sorry po at medyo amateur pa ako. May SLR na Digital na pala. Un nga yata yung sinasabi ni Ungas na Fuji S5000.
Will check out some cameras later sa lunchbreak.

kung sa kin lang, i'd buy an 8megapixel camera. pabili ka na lang kung may kamag-anak sa shhtates.
costs around $800-$1000
The Minolta-Konica Dimage A2 (8mp) looks to be a very good buy * $739-$1099.

ang aking 3.2 mp c-740uz olympus ay medyo bitin.
10x optical is good (dont mind those digital zooms) you wont find any good use for it.
-yung olympus c-750 is 4mp with 10x zoom but with a flash hotshoe (upgradable yung flash)
-kodak dx6490 ok din (almost same with c-750)

May 24th, 2004 11:00 AM #17DJerms:What exactly is the difference bet optical and digital zoom
digital = "fake" zoom; i.e. it makes use of some algorithms to make the image appear bigger via interpolation(it can actually distort images when abused) kumbaga parang hinuhulaan kung ano ung image if you really had optical zoom
don't use digital zoom as basis for judging a camera...always consider optical zoom
my bro n uncle(used to be a real camera freak) says nikon makes the best lens(not necessarily cameras)...so look for that when going shopping i guess
also consider portability; unless die hard photo hobbyist ka, chances are kahit gaano ka hitech camera mo, kung medyo bulky sya, chances are you'll leave it at home lang

consider mo rin ang media used for storing pics.
sony and samsung cams use memory stick
fuji and olympus use xD card
the rest uses SD/MMC or CompactFlash cards.
in my opinion, ito SD/MMC ang pinaka sulit dahil mas madaming gadgets ang gumagamit nito. pero kung ang existing gadget mo already uses Memory stick, ok na rin.
yung xD card is the newest among the memory cards. and so far, only fuji and olympus cameras are using this. medyo mahihirapan ka dito, and wala pa atang memory card reader na supported ito.Signature

kung mag uumpisa ka palang..wag yung sobra hi-tech..
sana start ka sa SLR like Nikon FM10 (manual) or Nikon FE10 (manual/automatic)... just to have the idea of basic photography...apperture, shutter's speed, etc. pag sawa ka na, benta mo nalang...mataas resale value nyan.. ;)
check mo yung site na ser bardigones posted.. www.dpreview.com
