The Huaweis are a bit of an oddball to me because they're not Google-native (because of the US ban). If I understand correctly, they have their own appstore. Although I'm sure there's a way to get Google Play Store in there, this brand isn't going to be on the top of my list.

yes. if I remember correctly, HarmonyOS is based on Android 10. not sure how far HarmonyOS as separated itself to Android since 3 years ago pa when it was initially released.

Not sure if HarmonyOS has Netflix. pero Netflix also will need to be sideloaded kapag di certified device mo.

pero personally, I will choose the 256GB entry level iPad + pencil = 34,880
over the Galaxy S8 = 35,691

Xiaomi devices I've used andami ads pag wala kang filter/adblocker.

Samsung galaxy Tabs - yung lowend nila na below 10k ok na kung ganyan lang usage.

I still have my Samsung 7 Lite 8.7" - bought last year.

I am looking to gift a family member a 7-8" tablet. Based on this person's usage habits, potentially, it will likely be used for video streaming, playing puzzle games, email, social media, and some web browsing. I hear that a lot of cheaper tablets (and phones) are laden with ads and whatnots and it's something I want to avoid, if at all possible.
