imho, ang mahal kasi ng maintenance ng team ng F1. probably they are allocating their resources to other more productive purposes like R&D, other forms of advertising, etc.
nagulat nga din ako sa WRC, dami na palang nawalang manufacturers.

RENAULT have held an emergency board meeting in Paris to discuss pulling out of Formula One, on the same day as Toyota announced it was also quitting the sport, according to reports today.

F1 has become too expensive for manufacturers to support. There was a time when learnings from racing made their way to civilian use and they'd be capitalized on to help build a car brand's reputation. But with new technology and investments on R&D, car companies are able to give consumers what they look for anyway. I guess the prestige that once came with racing doesn't translate to better sales anymore.
Maybe that's why Toyota decided to pull the plug on F1. Sabi nila siguro, "Look, we haven't won a single F1 championship, but we continue to sell more cars than those teams that have. So what's the point?"
