Honda is NOT ON GOVERNMENT BAILOUT. They simply want to cut costs and transfer their F1 budget to their core business, which is selling consumer cars. In fact Honda made money last quarter whilst main rival Toyota lost money for the first time as a publicly traded company. No Japanese carmaker at the moment is receiving government bailouts. But they are using a government program which gives them access to loans pero may interest yun.

Bottomline,- Ferrari is still zilch after 2 outings.

And, JB has 2 'gold medals'(?) or 1 1/2(?)..... I wonder what will it be or how the other teams would react if it were the new scoring scheme for the WDC.....

I said "might". I never said they are on government bailout.

Then let me correct you on the other statement. Brink of collapse? Very far from that happening...

That's what they also said before with GM, Chrysler, Ford, AIG, Citigroup, Lehman, Bear, ... by the way, I don't own any Honda stocks.

Let's not compare Honda with the banks cause those guys really did some funny stuff and bought a lot of funny stuff...

So Honda VS GM and Chrysler. Those two American companies (sama mo na Ford) have been losing money EVEN BEFORE THE CRISIS STARTED. These guys always lagged in quality and reliability. They relied on big SUV's to make money hoping that gas prices will stay low, they were not able to adjust when gas prices soared. Whats more they pay their employees 30% more than foreign car makers. Honda is much well runned and their car lineup is very much geared towards this economic hardships. Small and fuel efficient cars... I too don't have any financial interest in Honda so I am not defending them for my financial interest, just the facts...

Pulling out of a sporting event doesn't mean a company will off the cliff the next day. Toyota, Subaru, Mitsubishi and Suzuki pulled out the WRC but did they collapse? Toyota, Nissan, Mazda and Mercedes Benz pulled out of Le Mans, they didn't collapse either.

I'll miss those silly ads of Honda during the commercials...

One thing I notice. Wala na masyadong ads sa Star Sports kapag F1. Yung Total na lang natira...
