June 16th, 2015 09:16 PM #23Thanks bro.
This is almost the same as the prepper stuff I am into.
I especially like Jeff Cooper's book. which goes into the psyche of the person.
You have to add at least some basic outdoors topics as well. Throw in some principles of guerrilla warfare and you got yourself someone who MIGHT be an asset in a war.
Conversely, someone who did not prepare for war might actually be the war hero we deserve. Ohhh... life.

June 16th, 2015 09:33 PM #24At least he got the last part right.
"It will be one of the most pointless, stupid and destructive wars in history, but that is what is coming."
He should have added pollution.
If the article is correct, then China is doing a WW2 Germany - that is depending on stockpiles until they secure wells. Which is a gambit really. But, if it strikes a huge deposit of natural gas or oil in the coast of Vietnam then it will be a cold day in hell for the rest of us. If Russia enters the war then we are ALL fracked.
War is fought with resources, not necessarily materials (men and machines). If your materials run out of resources to run them then they are useless in war.
So does China have enough food and can it produce enough food to sustain a short war?
Does it have enough oil (read: all oil products) to sustain it machines?
Can it replace those machines fast enough during war?
Does it have enough EXPERTS and TRAINED people?
Can it train people to replace those they lost?
Does it have the ability to move supplies, men and machines to its fronts fast enough?
Clearly, I am insinuating something here but these are the questions worth asking.

June 17th, 2015 03:33 AM #25If WW3 erupts nukes will definitely be used. Those who are equipped with nukes and is loosing the war will use them as a last ditch effort.

June 17th, 2015 10:56 AM #30I think It may not be a full war but may just be a naval and air force war in the south china sea. Objective is to push them out and put them in their place. Attacking china in their homeland will not be advisable as Allies will loose world support and china will be forced to use nukes.
