may nagsabi sa akin nuon kesa daw ibigay yung mga imported used clothes as relief goods e pinagbibili sa ukay-ukay para maging pera. ang tanong e ito, ang pag-benta ba nung used clothes e nasa tamang price, o por kilo? may accounting ba kung ano yung halaga ng used clothes na dumating? di ba kay dali lang dayain, na sasabihin "price of so and so cartons of used clothing was only..." o di ba ang daling yumaman pag ikaw yung nakasalo nung used clothing na yun?
so eto ang hula ko. pinipili nila yung maganda pa, yung pwede pang ibenta sa ukay-ukay. pero, pag binenta ito ng red cross sa mga sarili nila (kasi sila may-ari ng ukay-ukay) ay same price lang ng pagbenta ng "rags". yung di na pwedeng gamitin dinedeclare na "rags", at binebenta por kilo (ginagawang basahan na binebenta sa kalsada o kaya naman ay pot holders, you know what i mean). at since "rags" din yung magaganda, e di presyong rags din. dun tumutubo ng malaki yung may ari ng ukay-ukay na konektado sa red cross. yung pwede pang gamitin pero di na pwede ibenta sa ukay-ukay na lang ang nakakarating sa relief.

Same with other NGO's who accept donation in kind,kasi may kakilala ako ,lalo na pag christmas time ,pag uuwi nila laging may dala ng boxes of shoes,mga damit even canned goods,

One thing I do not like about ABS-CBN is that they are capitalizing on the current communication problems in the devastated areas in the south to promote their telco business...(ABS-CBNmobile)

If you're making a sizeable donation, mas maganda if you can find a direct channel with a specific recipient. In the case of the company i work for, our collections are going directly to fund the rebuilding of a church roof in Leyte and boats for a fishing town in Iloilo province.

church roof? yaman na nga ng simbahan e billiones ang hawak na pera nyan. pero tignan mo kahit dami pera wala binigay sa relief.
