Inflation has taken its toll, the middle class are not spending as expected because they can feel that the next years to come will worsen. Better save for the long-haul.

coz the educated didn't see drop in income during lockdowns (tuloy parin ang sweldo) so they emerged from lockdowns with a lot of savings kaya better quality of life
