    as i understand, those government officials are the advanced party for the pope's visit. they could have taken flights before the "no fly zone" advisory was implemented. according to reports, they left manila ahead of the pope's travel to tacloban. imho, it was additional burden for taxpayers for it's our money which could be used for something more important. just my thoughts.
