Trivializing process

Arroyo on Thursday called on those raising the possible impeachment of Aquino to stop trivializing the impeachment process.
“When overused, it is drained of its cathartic value and it becomes terribly stale. I have always maintained that not every misstep of an impeachable officer is impeachable,” Arroyo said in a statement.

“Besides with the DAP in place, an impeachment will not reach first base,” he added.

Abolish DAP

To move on from the controversy, Arroyo said the DAP, which he described as an “unfortunate progeny of a misadventure at the [Department of Budget and Management]”, should simply be abolished.

“It won’t need congressional action because it is not a creation of Congress. It has no father. All that has to be done is for the President to stop the releases under the DAP and proclaim the DAP window closed,” Arroyo said.

“The country cannot afford to be rocked with endless conflicts and controversies. The Supreme Court is saddled with so many constitutional cases. So with the COA and the Ombudsman,” he added.

Eto lang sakin yung sa bribe na yan. Tama si sen. Santiago na prove that there's an intent to bribe first. Those allocations are clearly blown out of proportion. Then if proven, lahat ng tumangap are guilty of plunder.

Para sakin kasi nakakainis na yung abnoy abnoy na yan. Hindi pa ba clear na diversion lang ito? They just did it on a basis na meron magbigay ng budget sa pdaf. Does that reflect bribery? No. Pointless argument.

On February 12 last year when the impeachment trial of Renato Corona was well on its way, one of his defense lawyers, Jose Roy 3rd, alleged that a P100 million bribe was offered to the senator-judges to convict the chief justice, in the form of pork barrel funds for “soft projects”, or that non-infrastructure kind easily siphoned to lawmakers’ pocket.

The senators pounced on Roy, who sheepishly apologized, although he insisted that the information came from two reliable sources.
Senator Alan Cayetano scolded the lawyer: “It’s an insult to us to even deny that we are susceptible to bribes. ” His sister, who then appeared to be one of the more intelligent and credible senator-judges, said Roy’s allegation demeaned the entire justice system in the country.

Kung bribe nga yan, then tinanggap mo. pwede ka din kasuhan. pero dapat tapusin muna ang issue saPdaf, next is malampaya, (kung ayaw nyo na kay Pnoy, isunod nyo na!) then yung mga tumanggap ng "bribe" for corona conviction.
