For those who subscribe to what Atty. Jimeno said about Corona's dollar deposits, you'd do well to ask:
1. Assuming they were opened before he became an SC Justice, nevermind a government official prior to his appointment as an Associate Justice, when were the large deposits made? It would be more believable if he had those hundreds of thousands of dollars prior to him becoming a public official.
2. If the big ticket deposits were made during his time as a public official and as a sitting Justice of the SC, can he explain where the heck did he get the money from? Why didn't he declare it in his SALN? Again, coming from a man who is "of no ordinary means". Corona must be one hell of a shrewd businessman or investor to be able to get such huge returns on his savings in so short a time. I mean, even if he didn't spend a single cent of his sizeable allowances as a Justice for over 9 years, it would be a stretch to imagine it'll total more than USD700k (if that was indeed the amount deposited in the FCDU).
Yes, its no crime to have a dollar account. The real crime is that: (a) he didn't declare it; and (b) he will have to resort to improbable reasons to explain that it didn't come from illegal sources.

I don't know how in the world the defense can explain Corona's huge deposits. Even if they can, how will they convince the judges why Corona did not declare them on his SALN.
They're in deep sh*t right now. Nagkasakit na si Atty. Esguerra ngayon, di na uubra yung mga Certificate of Transfer na mga palusot nya.
Worst part for the defense is that Jimeno practically singing a destructive tune. Pwede naman nilang alibi ang Foriegn Currency law, tutal ok na ang TRO ng PSBank regarding those accounts. Assuming the Impeachment court will honor the TRO.

Karen Jimeno is spitting BS, so if the money was made before he joined SC, hinde pala counted as asset...galing!
if Jimeno has the decency dapat mag resign na siya as spokeperson. wala ng credibility bec of the paper she signed not in favor of Corona's appointment...conflict na talaga..lahat ng sasabihin niya ngayon wala ng maniniwala..
