December 1st, 2010 04:46 PM #21I actually admire Sen. Webb. Imagine giving up his political aspirations just to support his son. I don't think the evidence is beyond resonable doubt, I think the trial before was influenced by PR and not really from the evidence.

There were those of us before who were unsure of the evidence presented before the court.
Alfaro, as a confessed addict and party to whatever party was at the scene of the crime, could not be credibly called an impartial or dependable witness.
And there is the fact that some evidence for the defense was ignored outright.
If the accused were indeed innocent... imagine... spending nearly half your life in prison for a crime you didn't commit?

(syempre this was prior to 911 incident, kasi super duper higpit na ngaun sa amerika, nakakapraning ang kanilang pagkaparanoid)

It should be 16 years and not 12 or 15. Yan po ang habol ng VACC. meron pa siyang kulang na 1 year to serve, but Sec. Di Lima already signed to release him.
Make sense to me.

December 1st, 2010 07:37 PM #29not really impossible. prior to 9-11 lax ang security ng US. yung classmate ko sa college na green card holder. nakaka-uwi dito sa pinas ng hindi na-stamp passport nya. making it appear na hindi sya umaalis sa US thus complyng with the required duration of residency.
