^^Walang pera ang Pilipinas for a ratio of 1 PCOS to 500 people. Explains also why this country remains to be poor! Too much people, too few resources!

Sadly not all villages have the same situation. It took my friend 2 hours and she lives in a village in Makati as well.

Bros. I would just like to point out that the PCOS is not a real issue (at least in our precinct where the voters were practically engaging the organizers in a shouting match... ). Why? Because utilization, in my personal estimate, is less than 10%.....Not sure about how they're managing the tallying, but precincts or clusters for that matter can share a functional PCOS.

It was the manner in which the organizers were handling the flow of the voters/crowd.... Plain chaotic!

A possible improvement scheme in our area:
If I can have my way, everyone should be staged in a huge covered basketball court and have the voters line up by clusters. And then, runners from each of the clusters can pick up groups of 10s or 20s whom they can put in a second staging area in the school premises. And then another group of 10s or 20s are in the actual voting areas. So, they have 40 or 50 people in their respective works-in-process while the rest of the voters are in the main storage area, which is the covered basketball court with good ventilation. Not everybody crowding the small classrooms as their waiting area, aisle of the building and the rest of school premises....

yun nga eh since na overwhelmed ang mga teachers, imagine dati 300 voters lang ang handle nila ngayon give and take 3X ang voters na hahawakan nila, but as what tidus said walang budget for the ratio that I think na tamang ratio ng voters to PCOS.

but so far generally successful ang first partial automated election, no significant untoward incident na nangyari. of course yun failure of election in some areas but understandable naman since sa Lanao nangyari, which every election naman yata nangyayari doon yun FOE. isolated naman yun ibang problems sa mga precincts which nangyayari rin talaga kahit na manual election.

so the next important thing na lang eh yun canvassing ng ballots kung talagang mabilis ang results at saka kung hinde talaga nadaya yun mga votes.

^^^ Bro,- it was chaotic because they allowed everyone to crowd or enter the voting areas... It would have been better, based on my limited experience, to have them staged in a covered basketball court for example, with good ventilation et al, away from the voting areas... Please see my addendum in my post earlier....

the problem is wala naman BB courts sa lahat ng areas compared to public schools, kami swerte ni tidus since both of our precincts eh nasa BB court ng villages namin.

but for others specially sa far flung provinces I think pareho lang yun BB courts and classrooms, mainit and humid..if I may suggest dapat during January or February na lang gawin yun election para malamig ang panahon.

well siguro since first time itong partial automated precincts eh kaya ganyan kagulo, next election siguro mas maayos na. now it got me to thinking paano yun mga PCOS machines, gagana pa ba sa next election which is 3 years from now? or bibili nanaman ng bagong machines?

did all of you also held your breath when you slip the ballot into the PCOS machine?

Went mga 330pm.. signed up and was told to wait at the aircon waiting room for mga 30mins ..actual voting process siguro less than 10 mins.. smooth naman lahat ang apprehension ko lang paano mo alam na binilang talaga ng tama ang boto.. like how would you know if you overshaded or over voted (if you did not count it yourself)

yung mga di bumoto at puro nega ngaw-ngaw lang.. Wala kayong karapatan magsalita!

First time ko bumoto. Nagulat ako walang pila nung pumunta ako mga 5:30pm. As in diredirecho ako pirma na agad. Yung mga pumunta ng maaga grabe daw pila.

May tanong pala ako kasi sa senator at party list wala ako binoto. Hindi naman dadagdagan kasi blanko?

had a relatively stress free elections experience. less than an hour was all it took considering everyone were wet behind the ears when it came to the new method of voting

mga 3pm wala ng pila sa mga precinct sa amin. btw, i'm from las pinas
