Brought mine to my pastor and he prayed over it. I've done the same for every vehicle that I've owned. No fees. No donations. He doesn't take any form of payment. A heartfelt thanks and a firm handshake concludes the ceremony.
The prayer is mostly giving thanks for the privilege and blessing of acquiring a new vehicle. And beyond praying to keep all occupants safe, it's also something of a dedication in that, you make a commitment that you only use the vehicle in a manner that will please the Lord. It's a faith thing that I'm sure a lot won't or refuse to understand.
A short prayer every time I buckle up keeps me (and my tires, in a manner of speaking) firmly planted on the ground. As they say; Keep the shiny side up and the greasy side down.
No, I'm not some infallible holy man... far from it, in fact. Though, I try to do my best to keep that promise.

I have all my cars blessed in the nearest parish church, usually before mass ka pa schedule para after mass lalabas nalang yung pari para blesingan.
I have my car blessed because of Faith, not necessarily religion.
