It all has to do with credibility.
The CBCP or Catholic Bishops Craving Pajeros lost a ton of it when the PCSO brought this to light. It also explained why the CBCP stayed largely silent during the 9 years GMA was in office and her husband was fleecing the country blind. In certain instances, so blatant that these bishops suddenly turned blind. I'm willing to bet that all the noise about the RH law and all the other criticisms at the current administration has to do with the lost monies and perks formerly enjoyed by the CBCP from the government.
