Check it out here: Department of Labor and Employment - Pages
Now that it is law and no longer the subject of speculative discussion, what is your take on this?
Will this be another law where it is good to have but few will, or can, comply?

Our kasambahays receive way more than the set minimum wage. That law is irrelevant to me.

Actually, maganda talaga yung ibang provisions ng law na ito pero you have to think of the employers as well...kailangan balance lang...
Yung mga kakilala kong may kasambahan...napapakunot-noo duon sa ibang provisions ng law na ito...

My take:
If the new Kasambahay Law makes it difficult or more onerous for employers to comply, it'll likely just discourage them from hiring household help. Take for example, payment of SSS, Pag-Ibig, PhilHealth, they're ok, but will employers really take timeout from their office work just to pay the contributions?
There has to be a better mechanism to comply.

Pareho tayo bro.... The 5-day paid VL is news to me. And PAG-IBIG, too...
During weekdays, after their morning chores,- panuod na lang sila ng TV sa tanghali/hapon,- o tulog.....
They're off after dinner (around 7PM), except when there are family gatherings,- but they happen only occasionally, which they enjoy rin because of the special food and drinks, gifts and company..... On regular nights,- nanunuod na lang sila ng TV until around 10PM....
Weekly rest day,- ipon din nila ito...
