November 10th, 2011 05:11 PM #201Yup sir, depende nalang talaga sa appreciation ng owner....
The best car is the one you really like in your heart to start with and then you make it up to perfectly satisfy you for the long-haul. Same applies to the pickup.
Moreover, not all the time it will do you good as a car enthusiast to always believe what other people say about cars, especially if you see the person imparting advices that are heavily-based only in his own personal experience (words like "been there", "done that" etc), much like in the same manner when you watch, say, those youtube comparos ---- You know how people manipulate results and things

December 14th, 2011 08:15 AM #204Mitsubishi Truck Wins U.K. Award
pickuptruck.com
[B]congratulation riding high Strada Club. your truck beat them all.
We’re not sure how often it shows up among the media elite on London’s Fleet Street, and you certainly won’t see one running around your neighborhood, but the Mitsubishi L200 was awarded “Pick-Up of the Year” at the 2011 Fleet Van Awards in England.
Although it’s not sold in the United States, the L200 holds a 30.5 percent market share in the U.K., and it beat the stout Nissan Navara, Toyota Hilux and Volkswagen Amarok for the award.
“The L200 won this award thanks to its greater range of derivatives and load bed options and level of availability,” according to the awards judge. “Mitsubishi offers all the options for all fleet requirements. The L200 is also strong on residual values, comes with a big range of horsepower options and enjoys strong backup from the Mitsubishi dealer network. Add in competitive pricing and the L200 justifies its place as Pick-Up of the Year.”
Mitsubishi proclaims that “for many years, the L200 has led the way with its innovation, styling, specification and its 4x4 capabilities.”
The award is nothing new for the L200. What Van?, the British magazine, picked the Mitsu as pickup of the year 15 times in 18 years.

Wow this thread is almost 1.5 yrs old...Makasabat lang po. Based on the arguments above, I see it that there's a lot of people leaning to Mitsu Strada, 2nd is Navarra. I'm planning to buy pick-up also in the future but my heart is rooting for the new Ford ranger wildtrak. My only question is, regardless of the pick-up brand, ano ba ang mas ok na bilhin, yung 4x2 or 4x4 na pick-up?
I live in Aurora where I need to travel via sierra madre mountain for 3 to 4 hrs.
best regards,
ariel

4x2 if you don't need to travel in very bad terrains with possibility of a muddy/slippery road and many inclines.
4x4 if it's like offroad sometimes. mabuti na yung safe ika nga. Also some 4x2 have less torque and lower ground clearance. I don't know if there's a difference in ground clearance from a 3.2 vs a 2.2 Ford Ranger My2012 ha.a pa lumalabas na 3.2 eh pero if based sa web same body lang. Engine na lang talaga nagkatalo.
Fasten your seatbelt! Or else...Driven To Thrill!

February 6th, 2012 10:25 PM #209have you watch Chevy superbowl ad?
if you believe the Mayans predict Apocalypse this 2012 then drive the Silverado, it's funny,,,
Ford Tells GM, NBC To Pull Apocalypse-Themed Chevy Super Bowl Ad
Ford Tells GM, NBC To Pull Apocalypse-Themed Chevy Super Bowl AdUPDATED! Ford's not pleased with the Chevy truck super bowl ad that implies Ford trucks aren't built tough enough to survive the Mayan apocalypse. How upset are they? They're so pissed the automaker's sent letters to both GM and NBC asking them to pull the ad from tonight's big game.
Well, shoot, this may be more fun than the Super Bowl itself.
We knew that the folks at Ford weren't happy with the "2012" Super Bowl ad on Friday when it was released, but sending a cease-and-desist right before the $7 million spot airs is an interesting maneuver.
In another twist, Motoramic reports that Ford is pressuring NBC not to air it.
We're still trying to sort out what's true, but so far all we can tell is that GM's having a great time at Ford's expense.
Ford Tells GM, NBC To Pull Apocalypse-Themed Chevy Super Bowl Ad "We stand by our claims in the commercial, that the Silverado is the most dependable, longest-lasting full-size pickup on the road," said GM Global Chief Marketing Officer Joel Ewanick in a press release. "We can wait until the world ends, and if we need to, we will apologize. In the meantime, people who are really worried about the Mayan calendar coming true should buy a Silverado right away."
