I think its great that someone is trying to build a locally made sports car
But Id rather have an 86, Genesis or Crz than that

Of course a one-off model can't compete vs. mass-market sedans/sports cars from established automakers. Just imagine the economies of scale discrepancy.
Auto manufacturing has very steep barriers to entry so don't expect that a daring Filipino automaker can be competitive on the first try. This car is more of a beacon of hope than a viable commercial product.
I wonder though, if the Koreans slammed the first Daewoos, or if the Japanese maligned the first Datsuns.

4G63 at B16A engine? Baka ungusan lang ng totoong Evo at ng Type R yan? Have they considered the aerodynamics of that car? Tsaka tama nga, overpriced yun kotse. I rather buy an 86 over that car. Or kung trip ko yun ganyang engines, Evo 7-9 and the Civic Type R EK9 will do. Heck baka SIR will do na rin
And oh, supercar is not based on looks. Its on the performance. Looks of a supercar pero engine is only inline 4. Also hindi nila ni-disclosed ang power ng kotse.
Pero as a Pinoy, I hope that they can do more.

^They should build right the first time. Unless that car deserve to be called a supercar, I will not buy it.

Kaya naman pero it will involve a lot of research and money. Gaya nga ng sabi, di basta basta ang supercar. Di yan yun tipong design ka ng body, salpak ng makina and all, then yun na, supercar na, which is the case ng nasa article. We all know na a lot of research and study ang ginawa ng mga manufacturers para sa isang legit supercar. Its not just the design, its the science in it. But then, this could be the start of more things to come.
