40t km is a major service interval. Palit lahat ng fluids. pag plano po pagawa sa labas use other brands ng coolant. Mahal kase yung Honda Green Fluid at Php700 a bottle.
Manual Tranny ba yan?: pag M/T use motor oil na 10w-40 or 20w-50. Don't use gear oil for Hondas.
Pag A/T naman use Honda ATF. As for the RTAWD differential ATF din gamit dun. Brake fluid naman is DOT4

re: the loss of pulling power, that's probably the sparkplugs/air filter due for a change.

March 10th, 2004 07:48 PM #15The throttle body opening should be cleaned too by spraying it with a carb cleaner, will help smoothen out the idling.
I'd check all 4 shocks by actually pulling them out- "showa" shocks don't last that long.
Crv bushings are weak: replace trailing arm, strut bar bushings.
Use Honda PSF only for power steering.
A good Dex 3 ATF should do for transmission and rear diff.
If repairs are never ending- sell the car!
