July 29th, 2024 02:03 PM #191it depends, on what the problem is.
most windshields curve, with the curvature changing across the windshield.
if the blade don't accomodate for the shift in the curvature, that blade won't work properly.
if the joints are too tight, as to make the curvature of the blade un-changing...
when the bladeholder joints are binding, the blade may wipe fine on one segment of the windshield, but not on another segment of the windshield.Last edited by dr. d; July 29th, 2024 at 02:36 PM.

I feel the same. But if it's just a minor and non-destructive fix such as a small adjustment, it's all good for me. I mean, it's not a precision instrument. It's there to wipe rain off and if it's not flat on the glass, just bend it to your will.
These blades are designed to be universal so as to fit different types of vehicles. It can't account for all the different windshield slope and curve designs or the wiper arm spring tension. Factor in the packaging and handling, which sometimes affect how the blades assume their natural shape.
Anyway, slightly bending or straightening the blades solves the issue of uneven surface contact 100% of the time for me. Might even reduce or cure chattering. I almost returned a good wiper blade before until I learned of this trick. After I've bent them into shape, it stayed that way permanently until they needed changing years later.

Small adjustments takes very little time and potentially saves time and hassle.
I look at the wipers are off the shelf clothes -- needing the occasional trim or adjustment.
Hella has instructions for adjusting wiper blades:

August 1st, 2024 12:36 AM #195I tried to adjust it, but the gap is just too wide.. adjusting one part will just transfer the gap to the otherside. It could be my lack of skill, maybe it is not the right type for my vehicle, or just defective. The box were already opened and damaged. Parang pinagpasa pasahan na ng different buyers kasi malambot na yung part na bukasan ng box..
Anyway, I found out that the right type of wipers for 2019+ Mazda 3 and Mazda CX-30 should be a banana type / beam type / flat wiper. I bought a silicone pair from GPT in Lazada. Only 250 a piece. Installed and it’s perfect. No more annoying wiper jumping
