Another group who will benefit from this new policy are the local recruitment agencies and unfortunately, illegal recruiters too.
Although the new rule no longer allows foreign employers to directly hire Filipinos, the recruitment of Pinoy workers can still be done through the previous recruitment process where foreign principals course their manpower requirements through POEA-licensed agencies.
One thing I’m not sure is if the govt. is also requiring foreign employers who are registered/accredited with these licensed recruitment agencies to post similar bonds. Wag naman sana, sobra na talaga yun.
IMO, most of our kababayans who want to work overseas will now be forced to resort to recruiters unlike before when direct on-line applications were hassle-free. Due diligence among OFW-wannabes are more important now because of this new policy.

another non-sense plan of the genuises in the government.
anyway, i think i heard of this plan a year ago or nagkataon lang.pag 3 or 5 na ang direct recruitment, dapat daan na sila sa mga recruitment agencies.so heto na pala yon.yan din ang reason bakit biglang nagkaron ng recruitment agency ang boss ko sa pinas after nyang mabalitaan ang proposal.

kung protesyon sa mga ofw ang alibi nila parang mahirap paniwalaan.sa dami na ng mga reklamo ng mga ofw sa kanilang mga employer ala naman nagawa ang mga alang butong agency nayan.

If the employer is has abuse in mind, the bond may even give the employer a thought of "heck, I paid for the potential damages anyway..."
My goodness, how little grey matter do these "lawmakers" have hehe

At depende rin dapat kung saang country. What if nakahanap ka ng employer dahil recommended ng relative or friend mo sa Canada or US? Aatras ang employer diba? Ang gusto nila, padaanin sa agency, ang agency naman di mo alam kung part owner ang mga labor officials or nakikinabang sila. At alam nya ba na kapag dumaaan ka sa agency although hindi ka kukunan ng processing fee, kikita sila equivalent to 1month of your salary for every year of service. Hindi nyo ba napansin na inilabas yang policy na iyan halos kasabay ng news na 2M of our skilled workers ay kailangan sa Canada? Most of our kababayans there are direct or name hired. Dapat sa HK at middle east lang iyan i-aaply. Or else yung applicant ang magproproduce ng US$5k para sa sariling bond.
