good day mga sirs. I would like to ask "how do you start a career in the oil industry?" I'm really interested to enter this global biz kaso I don't have any experience sa ganitong field. Is there a specific pre-requisite or are there companies offering apprenticeship? For example I am a technical grad having work on a manufacturing/semiconductor type of set-up for several years already, I'd like to shift to the oil industry, how do I get started po mga sir?
hope you could enlighten us who are first timers especially that companies are looking for experienced personnels. thank you very much...

Sir, kung first timer meron naman kompanya na kumukuha ng kagaya mo. You have to start from scratch kumbaga. Medyo nagkakaubusan na ngayon ng mga experienced personnels so first timers have great chance compared some 10 years ago.

I contacted Nautech (posted by sir Osepos post #144), nag-reply sila. The requirements are HUET and BOSIET, UKOOA medical certificate or equivalent. saan po ba kinukuha yung HUET at BOSIET? kadalasan ito ata ang minimum requirement sa UK/DUtch based na work.

pahamak nga yung kidnapping na yan sa nigeria eh. may offer ako dyan last year na talagang interested ako. bali dubai based yung company and they will put up the same business doon sa nigeria at inoffer sa akin. oilfield automation consulting company bali. tungkol sa mga plc's, scada and dcs. ok lang starting around 6k usd,at 3mo cycle. pero ang target ko doon ay ang carrer advancement. nag drag ang deployment ko for more than 3 months dahil nga dyan sa kidnapping na yan(besides my whole family disagree with me going to work there). anyway the company send me one month salary. but eventually i came up to my senses and we call it quits(i think my guardian angel/holy spirit has something to do we my decision). they only took the airline ticket kasi agency ang bumili nun but yung one month salary advance ko di na nila kinuha. kasi nga naman 3 months nila akong pinaghintay na walang income eh.
