that's one thing to consider. i've been tinkering w/ the idea of doing a b13 project thingy. naghananap ng sakit ng ulo ata ako eh.

anyhow, not considering its current age, when the b13 was in its heyday, anu-ano ba ang known headaches niya? parang i've read kasi before that you were once an owner of this model - particularly the eccs variant.
it was a good engine, as i recall.
medyo matakaw sa gas, is all.

We had one for 6 years..... Issues we had (as with most Nissans) was the suspension.... kalampagin, like all previous-gen Sentras. The power windows were also very flimsy. My brother were just fooling around in the back seat, resting his face on the windows, then bigla nalang bumaba yung window 1/3 of the way and ayaw na umangat. The internal mechanism had a pulley system that is plastic na madaling mabasag.

The engine is mostly ok. We had idle issues towards the latter part of its life with us. Sometimes when you rev it and release the gas pedal, the RPM would drop down to around 500 before it recovers. Once in a blue moon, the engine would stall doing that. The alternator was also repaired when one day, it stopped charging. Finally, the A/C blower resistor will also go bad every couple or so years... we went through two during the life of the vehicle.

the b13 looks to be a formidable challenge. parang magiging suki sa apalit kung nagkataon.

The B13 was our first all-power and EFI car and I loved it in spite of its weaknesses. We also got a Lancer "Itlog" about a year or so later and between the two, the Lancer was more fun to drive, lending to its more sporty suspension, tighter steering response, lighter body, and gearing configuration (both cars were 1.6L M/T). The B13 was more of a refined, proper sedan while the Lancer, a toy car for the 90's wannabe feeling-rezing dudes (like I was). lol

The B13 had better lower-end torque so it has a taller gearing ratio on the low gears. By comparison, the Lancer had more vroom than zoom on the lower gears, so it's indulging you to rev high on the first couple of gears..... kinda like a Civic. At least that was my experience with these cars.

For a time, I was also contemplating on getting a project B13 that I can restore.... just for old times' sake. But my priorities have changed since.

That said, good luck on your adventure and do update this thread if and when you get a B13.
