I also have the full ZD30 work manual PDF you can pm me your email address and I can send it to you.

Might help you pull your codes as well but the work manual has all them in it as well and how to do it. Hopefully your ECU is not bad.

Should have some more goodies with me next time as well like ceramic brake pads, new boost controllers, MAF adaptors and a supply of MAF sensors, Still have plenty of Oil filters for the QD32ETI engine at the house.

    Hi Doc,

Looking forward to your return next year. I'd want to buy a set of ceramic brake pads and a MAF Sensor if you do bring some extra. Would like to get an oil filter as well.

    Thanks so much,

    Pado

I plan on bringing some pads. I will check into the MAF sensor to see if I can get them wholesale somewhere.

I am new owner of a 1997 nissan elgrand..
I have taken 5 days yo read and understand every single post.
Thanks you very much for the advice.

I will buy the oil catch can, but some of them come with a air cone, what is the difference with the normal oil catch can and the one with air cone.

You will want the one without the little breather filter on it. It will get all nasty in on a diesel engine and they don't do as good of a job collecting oil mist. Feel free to join elgrandclubph on facebook as well.

Don't forget 2oz of 2T oil every fill up, night and day difference in how the van runs.

Thank you very much fir the replay.
I already send you a friend request 3 days ago.
I also downloaded the PDF safety manual thats why I want to buy the oil catch can.
I will follow your step dvldoc. I will also replace the air box with an upgrade.
Everything you have recomended on your post are been follwed by me.
I live in UK but original from southamerica.
2T oil is been filled up everytime I go to the petrol station.
Isopropyl alcohol is probing hard to find on the shop. Also the MAF sensor cleaner is not sold on the big shop. Fortunally I got them from ebay.

Thank you very much profesor. My mechanic knowledges are poor but I allways do the jobs myself.

I read that the transmition filter is washable.
It is true? Here in UK takes up to 5 weeks to wait for the part been delivered. Also I been told by nissan dealer that there are 3 filter which we need to replace, one which is the normal one and 2 more are really small. The 2 small filters are washable too according to the nissan mechanic.
If you recomen me to buy new one I will do it?

I got many more question but I will not ask any more. First I changed the oil fluid and this week I will replace the trans fluid, diff fluid and fuel filter.
After reading so many post my air hose was broken too were you pointed on the picture. No wonder why it was consuming a lot of petrol and 8 owners in less than 4 years decided to sell the car. Insurance is not cheap and drinks a lot of petrol but some like me will be a peace of cake looking after my new bless from heaven.

Thank dvldoc for your kidness and be blessed in the name of Jesus Crist.

Yes it is. It's simply a screen it's only around 200 microns. Unless it's physically damaged you can re-use it. My Elgrand gets awesome mpg of course I have a few more mods than you. By they way if you ever wanted to do water injection I have a vendor in the UK.

Nissan ELGRAND who has one?
