250d Xclass is using rear disc. Maybe on the next iteration of Navara and Terra will also feature disc option.

they're reserving it for the next gen?

xclass sales numbers are bad in Australia.

I'm sure they will look into it upon demand by consumers. Take for the example the dual rate springs on the 2018 models that happened only when they were criticized for the useless springs unfit for loading more than 500kgs, the rotting boxed chassis prone to breaking into half were addressed on the newer Thai models.

Poor sales maybe due to X-class market are those filthy rich farmers that owns a LearJet and won't care the maintenance/reliability criteria.

For poor farmers like me, i'd be happy with NP300/Terra with dual rate springs, all disc brakes, and Renault V9x 3.0 V6 same as with STX550 or the OM642 engine from the Xclass 350D.

I agree that poor sales and criticism encourages companies to improve their product and give more value for money.

Partial list of what I would change are:
    1. Rear drum brakes to discs
    2. Use the current X-trail's steering wheel
    3. Improve steering assist by maybe 10%
    4. Add that 2nd row middle headrest and 3 point seatbelt
    5. Decrease rear view camera zoom by 2.0x
    6. Use a brushed/textured finish for stepboards
    7. Use a piano black grille instead of this light faux glazed aluminum finish
    8. Add some soft touch trims to the interior

But even with that list, still the Terra to me already gives good value in its current form. The rich feature list of driving, safety, comfort and entertainment aids along with the good ride quality and handling and what might be class leading interior space makes it a compelling choice already.

Re: the engine, I think the V9X will never find its way to the Terra. Too expensive to manufacture with its CGI block and those extra cylinders and injectors. YS23 will probably arrive once we upgrade to Euro 5.

Maybe you can convert the drums to discs bro. That would be a awesome DIY project.

Poor farmer? Fake news. Di ka naman poor.

I think no.1 2 months ago? Hirap pa nga daw makakuha ng unit. While it's a good package overall, brisk NP300 sales probably due to aggressive pricing from Nissan. Majority of car buyers are price sensitive and not really the anal tsikoteer type.

Another thing I've been wanting to look into for the Xtrail is Eibach's Pro Lift kit. Might improve the ride off road by adding more up travel. Just couldn't pull the trigger for something untested.

Haven't gotten Android Auto to work on the Terra yet. If anyone could share which apk they use for S7E dual sim I'd really appreciate it.

So far no issues till now. The only con I observed is the microphone is not good. The receiver can hardly hear what I am saying during phone calls. Also, avoid installing apps on the HU since the memory is too small. I did that before and it hang up on me so I did a factory reset. I hope the newer models have bigger memory already.

I just made our PO for the unit, the Pearl White has an additional P15k! I thought this only applies to Toyota!

Mazda just gave a P100k discount for the CX9. But still out of my budget unfortunately. I'm surprised the Everest Titanium 4x2 is priced at P2.058M! I assume the facelift will be priced at P2.1M which will make the new Sta Fe and CX9 a better option.

I will make Android Auto work when I get the unit. It's one of my deciding features for choosing it. But did Apple Carplay worked?

Re: Xtrail HU Dasaita also makes a unit that also supports AVM. Storage is 64GB already with 4GB RAM. Maybe when I run into some money again hehe.

For the Terra, Apple Carplay ran as soon as I connected it to the phone but I haven't used any apps yet.

My agent said the same, 15k extra for Pearl White. So they're really charging for it now. Margins must be thinner nowadays.

    Congrats on your unit!
