    i am now wondering,
"how valuable will that chrome sticker ("hybrid") at the rear of the car, be?"
    heh heh heh.
yes... but, MMDA just recently asked for a list... we have to wait and see if mild hybrids are included

bumili nang bagong kotse, only to end up with two cars having the exactsame EP... !
35K for my choice of EP... i can live with that.

    that araneta LTO,
    hirap pumarada diyan!
ang dambuhala pa naman nang mga container vans na rumaragasa diyan.
yes. alam ko hindi pa naissue yung plate number ng vehicle dapat when you are going to apply for the personalized plate number. You can't just apply for an ending number. it is 3 letters and you apply for either 3 digits or 4 digits. hehe

Coding Exemption ng Hybrids and EVs, at this time, should be valid for 8 years from the implementation of law. Law came into effect April 2022 (because it lapsed into law) and IRR was around October 2022 during the EV Expo here. Not sure which will apply as the end date for the coding exemption, if only April 2030 or October 2030. But it has an expiration date by law as it is explicit, unless it will be amended down the road.

    years ago,
the 3- or 4-digit combination, were readily available at considerable cost.
and the last digit (EP) was available for a proverbial song.
the SA i talked to last week, said that none of these are available now, at any cost.

after 8 years, EV and hybrid owners probably have two prayers,
    1. that their coding exemption will be extended, and
    2. the price of replacement lithium batteries would be more affordable.

    btw,
i read that should the ertiga's hybrid system be dis-abled,
one may still drive it as a regular gasoline vehicle.

    or,
it's gone too common, as to make coding exemption a cause for increased traffic jam.

^I'm hoping they just scrap coding...

it didn't help and it only made 2-3 generations of people who do not know how to commute!

    ***

in 8 years. MRT 7 and the Subway will be operational.

even if traffic is worse, people will have an alternative mode of transport.

    i wouldn't buy cars,
if i knew i could be serviced by a taxi on a reliable basis.
it's no easy thing, maintaining a motor vehicle.

    it can be my man-cave.

    True doc.
hybrid cars would most likely be plentiful by 2030 as they could have their exemption revoked.
EV on the other hand may still be few and far between by that time. Blame the recharge infrastructure?
So if people really want a long term exception from coding then pure EV is the way. hehe

It seems Ironic that a Car brand well known for its Very cold A/C would have A/C problems in its new and popular model.

the nissan don't need no recharging facility. which i like, naman.
its charger is powered by a bring-along gasoline engine.

    heh heh.
    dati siguro, japanese make.
    ngayon ay chinese na...?

    i remember,
one of its model runs had good taipei roots,
    and it showed, daw,
    in the build quality.
