August 15th, 2017 02:46 PM #871I agree with Jut. If it was me, I'd go for the automatic. The ones you've mentioned are just nice to have and could have been foregone, if and only if the base model was an automatic transmission too.
It's not as fun as driving a manual, but the comfort you'd get in return is priceless. Especially if there's heavy traffic in your usual route.
Plus, I don't think the sylphy was built for sporty driving, but rather built for comfort (I rode one before, it's very comfy and very roomy).
With regards to fuel economy, I'm not exactly sure how thrifty the caris, but since it's a CVT, the transmission is actually tuned for fuel efficiency. (Well most if not all CVTs are fuel efficient).

If there is a 70k discount on all Sylphy models, why not opt for the 1.8V model instead? The additional grunt will be a welcome thing for the heavy chassis of the Sylphy.

Jut - the extra grunt of the 1.8L engine is always a welcome thing compared to the 1.6L engine pushing the same weight of the Sylphy.
The Focus makes up for its extra weight with its extra grunt from its 1.5L turbo engine (180PS/250Nm). It just trails the Civic RS in quickness and about as quick as the Mazda3 2.0L and Golf 1.4T.Last edited by Egan101; August 15th, 2017 at 07:06 PM.

August 15th, 2017 10:29 PM #8791.8V is worth 1.013M. Even with less 70k that's 150k more than the base. I'd like something economical that I can pay up in 2 years or less.
Sylphy offers the best price with standard safety features and space, kaya ito napili ko.
