I think so. It would be impossible for these aluminum plates to last long. At some point, they will deteriorate.
Good that you are open to a duplicate plate as it's only 450 (should be) versus the 5K (or 10K, I'm not certain which) fine.

March 14th, 2015 01:03 AM #462if your plate gets lost (stolen), or it becomes so deformed as to be unreadable, yes you can order from lto for replacement plates.
actually, lto is the only authorized agency that can issue replacement plates.
but the real question is, how much time will you have to wait for those plates to arrive?

I have some questions kc yung auto ko kpg bglang apak sa gas humihina hatak parang pigil pero kapag naman dahan2 ok naman hatak. Ngpalit nko fuel filter, ngpalinis ng throtle body, bago dn clutch ko. Tapos kpg nka a.c pgminsn mahina aircon at nahihirapan ang makina pero pagminsan ok naman. Then ngaun inadjust and menor dhil dati abot 1.3k tapos ngaun 1k nlng rpm pero namamatyn nko sa aircon. Need some help pls. Suggestion kc ng mekaniko ko yung MaF sensor kaso feeling ko ndi doon kc ndi nmn gnun kalala. Pde ba sa distributor? Or what?

March 16th, 2015 12:24 PM #467sabi din ng mekaniko ko na dpt maitim daw usok kaso ndi pdaw malala kaya ndi pdaw maitim usok. tama ba yun? ngaun kc pinalinis ko throtle body sa ibang shop then nkita ko nmn yung MAF sensor nndoon pa sensors pero mukhang ndi ndn original kc yung mga screw nya ndi match sa butas nung sa throtle meaning may gnawang parang another pgsscrew. sabi nmn nung mekaniko bka maling part number yung nailagay nung pinalitn. ngaun edi nalinis throtle same problem pdn na kpg bbglain ang pedal ng gas parang npipigil pdn. tapos ang idling medyo taas baba pero nasa normal na 900 kc inadjust nila, then kpg mag a.c ako ang baba ng rpm 700 lang tapos kpg aarangkada tapos kpg mgbreak bumababa ng mga 200 to 100rpm pero ndi nmn mmty tapos ppanik dn agad sb daw yung idle up ko sira pero npnsn ko yung lakas ng aircon ko ngaun nassustain na ndi na humihina tapos laging nagaautomatic meaning kpg ngtick bgla tataas rpm.
medyo ngguluhan nko sa problem tlga hehe. sainyo ba guys for example bibiglain nyo ang gas anong reaction ng auto nyo? what if mabagal lang takbo nyo nasa 20kph tapos bgla nyo 3rd gear or 4th gear then bigla apak sa gas anong reaction?
please need helphirap kc mgtrial and error.
mga mgkno po buong throtle body sa may banawe? or yung MAF sensor lang na surplus? thanks.

March 28th, 2015 06:27 PM #469Just got hit by a taxi in the rear while in traffic.
Damage wasn't physically apparent as the bumper only showed a puncture because his plate number had bolts that protruded out about an inch from the bumper. The dent the hit caused in the bumper just popped right out naturally.
After checking though, the truck latch (the one at the bottom) actually moved inward as well by about 2mm I would guess. And the trunk lid actually also had a slight deformation due to this, now the trunk is very difficult to close and I wouldn't actually want to bother opening it til insurance covers the repairs.
Just to give a heads up though, the repair estimate from Nissan is totalling 28,248php broken down as follows:
replace rear bumper cover assembly at 12108php
tinsmithing (pulldown and reinstall parts, straighten, reform and align rear end panel and trunk lid panel and replace rear bumper cover) 5000php labor
painting (rear end panel, trunk lid panel, rear bumper cover) 8700php
rustproofing 800php
VAT at 1740php
They still aren't sure if there was damage to the suspension though but I already told them about it but how can they photograph it now without putting on a lifter to actually check.
The suspension in the rear is a bit more bumpy/stiff compared to before and I can even slightly feel the engine revolution at idle while i'm stopped in traffic.

But Nissan NE was nice enough to accept all the documents I presented and they will be the ones to coordination with prudential. Prudential wanted me to either go to their office at EDSA to photodocument the damage or Nissan Q Ave specifically for some reason but I still went with Nissan NE as they said over the phone they can accomodate non inhouse insurance policies. I didn't get their in-house insurance during the purchase.
