^ ^ ^ What particular ComSci discipline bro? Software Technology, Computer Engg, Information System?....
Congratulations - Magaling ang bata mo bro... However, it takes personal discipline and more more more discipline to stay in that college....
I know one of the Department Heads there (if he's still there)... Our son is also taking ComSci (2nd year ngayon).... I used to be an instructor in the College of Computer Studies in DLSU (although Engg graduate ako)....

That's what we are here for, bro....
If it is Software Technology,- super galing ng bata mo.... Top 10% iyan....
Basta tell him not to engage himself too much on computer games et al, that are not related to his studies....These goblins are ooohhhh sooooooo magical, that you will not notice time and space passing by, until you have no more time for your academics.... Kaso nga exposed sila rito dahil may mga personal netbooks or laptops sila...
Choose the right barkada in college,- only the ones that will help you in your studies,- and not in the gimiks.... Maraming mahilig gumimik sa DLSU.....
Sangkaterba ang terror na instructors/professors sa DLSU (I should admit that I was one of them), up to their sophomore years. And they have no qualms in flunking all of their students, since the first 2 years are the "screening out years". Separates the men/women from the boys/girls...

If your kid really wants to develop computer games,- then I think he should be more suited sa College of Saint Benilde (CSB) kung saan mayroon silang Gaming Technology(?) course.... Not sure about the exact course name here....
Pero, of course (and I do not intend any rough entangles with our bros in CSB), mas okay sa DLSU...
Parang ang mga applications (how) courses sa CSB.... At ang mga theoretical (why) courses ay sa DLSU.... Something like that...

That is correct bro.,- pero by invitation lang iyan,- sa mga top graduates nila...
I remember in the parents orientation that I attended, one parent asked "What do we get more for 4 years in college in a trimestral system, if the same course in UST and UP are also 4 years in a regular semestral system". The Department Head, who I know, replied,- "you get more learning"... And another parent quipped from the side,"of course, we expect that since we pay more"... So, no real advantage for kids attending the trimestral system, who should be graduating a year earlier, IMO...

February 26th, 2013 12:23 PM #148Yes merong 5 year course sa DLSU. BS MS na
Magdagdag ka ng 1 year sa regular, naka MS ka na paggraduate mo.
Yung 2 kung batchmates nakuha this year ng MS ECE.
Just guide him sir. Medyo maraming students dito na mahilig gumimik, as what sir CVT had said.
Maraming parties, tambayan, inuman malapit sa place. So, dapat control niya rin studies and social life niya.
Wag siya padala sa mga magiging new friends niya sa new world haha.
