It is suppose to make the current clear coat more glossy.
IMHO if you detail your car regularly or periodically, you won't need to spend on ceramic coating. But, say, you don't have the luxury of wash and wax, this ceramic coating may be a good idea like in the states where they normally park their cars on open driveways and side streets and have frequent weather changes like winter.

Si optimum and technical details ba bnbake ang kotse for ceramic coating process? Ang alam ko Gyeon does it pero overpriced sila. I will let the coat fade muna saka ako lipat sakanila pero rereklamo ko na sa Gtechniq. Hay should’ve done my ceramic coating with them. Nalapitan lang ako dito kay Primo Auto Shine dahil same barangay lang kami yan tuloy nangyare [emoji29] lessons learned.

March 14th, 2019 09:44 AM #86Depends. Some use heaters, you can get your car within the day. Others naman dont use heaters, so usually 1-2 days. I got mine after 1 day, no heater used.
Honestly, mine wasn't that makintab. When i opted for ceramic coating, primary reason was for the added protection and less maintenance it gave, bonus nalang yung more makintab.
Si TD ata, no heaters, which is why 1-2 days bago mo makuha, depending on the size and level of correction needed. As for optimum, i dont have any info hehe.

March 14th, 2019 03:35 PM #87optimum - got it the same day, but the car is only one week old when I got it coated last year so no major corrections done.
Benefits:
mas madaling linisin, compared to our older cars (not sure if it's because of the coating, the wash solution, or because relatively new (1yr) pa lang)
gloss, hmm questionable, didn't see a major difference after the car was coated (again maybe because it was only a week old when it got coated?).
Gyeon probably has the slickest finish basing on their FB post, but as carwhacko said, it's OP.
x4 the price for 3 years vs 5 years with optimum

Not surprising ... Dealers are usually more expensive ... Plus they don't do such a good job ...

I just found out with Gtechniq Philippines that Primo Auto Shine is not accredited with them. Lalo naginit dugo ko sakanila. Salamat sa Gtechniq because they will take care of my car. Makakahinga na ako malalim [emoji23]
