Recommended Montero/Strada Sound Setup

Has anyone tried upgrading the AVT unit with an aftermarket 2din dvd receiver. Please advice which unit brand (pioneer, alpine, kenwood) can fit the multi-media touch screen and what would become of the DVD player located at the base of the dash. TIA

guys ako naglagay lang nag flat type subwoofer under the passenger seat at 2x 2 way front at 2x 3 way middle door and utilized the stock audio ng montero 2014 sports e good enough for a nice and relaxing drive minus the sobrang gastos

Guys question lang po.... magkano kaya aabutin ng ser up na a pair of ryan audion reaactor seps, a sub at the back na nakapanel style yung pwede ko pa din gamitin ang 3rd row seat ko and a decent amp...d ko.alam.pano mag upload ng pics...

check mickey's di ko lang sure if updated yung mga prices nya but you can make it as you bench mark for the budget. if gusto mo naman ng mga custom made enclosure for the sub, you have to personally ask the installer about that. You can also go to any reputable car audio shop and tell them your budget and sound set-up na gusto mo.

try to visit din KAC dami din mag advice sayo dun.

Good job *crujones for posting the pics and DIY.. ganyan na ganyan yung sa akin.. Piezo-type yan so very high freq and hindi pang "SQ" (hi-fi).. The trick is to stay within 4-5 Treble settings only to avoid "tunog-lata" effect.

Sa mga nagtatanong pa rin kung paano tatanggalin yung pod --> It can be easily removed even by just prying it by your fingers, just be careful not to force it harming the latch.. the tweeter wire is already there, nakaabang na.. kung di agad makita, silipin niyo or sungkitin,, di puwedeng wala iyan.. then its up to you if you just "peel" the wire below the connector or putolin na lang mismo yung dulo ng connector and splice the tweeter wire.. also rather then using an electrical tape, it would be best if you use a "shrink tubing", para professional na professional ang dating.. hehe

Tried this setup with strada GLX 2013, found the "nakaabang na wires" for tweeter, but when the tweeter was tapped, walang sound na naproduce.
Consulted an audio installation shop, ang sabi nila, baka daw hindi naka connect yung nakaabang na wires dun sa stock speakers.

Pwede ko pa ba i-DIY yun? hindi kasi ako familiar sir sa pagbabaklas ng door panel, hehe. Or may way pa ba ako para i-check kung 'live" yung wires, sice two different tweeter speakers na yung sinubukan, wala pareho na-produce na sound.

Share ko lang po yung aking naging solution:

1.) JBL tweeters w/ crossovers = 1.2k
2.) MBO self contained & powered (built-in amp) sub-woofer = 6k

Tip sa installer: 100.00
Installation time: 1:30

Yung sub-woofer pinalagay ko sa ilalim ng upuan ng passenger para hindi mag consume ng space... kaya may konting "umph" ang pasahero ko...

gusto ko rin ganitong setup. yung hindi na pinapalitan ang original stock.
