Recommended Montero/Strada Sound Setup

Madami na pong montero owners and lumapit sa tsikotshop taguig and asked for our opinion kung ano ang magandang setup na may sound quality without compromising space, most of them are askin kung ok ba maglagay na lang ng amplified sub under the passenger seat because they dont want to compromise the space kapag gumamit ng bazooka type amplified sub or a subwoofer box.

sa lang po ang recommendation ni Jon (aka tsikotshop) sa ganitong requirements. A good separates (front speakers with tweeters), a coaxial speaker (rear) and a 4 channel amplifier na kasya under the passenger seat. Kung sound quality lang ang habol without the loud boom boom effect, swak na swak po ang ganitong setup. Para mas lalo lumabas ang mid base, well recommended na mag sound deadening sa 4 doors. The good thing about this setup, it is upgradable... anytime pwede kayo magdagdag ng subwoofer box or amplified bozooka type sub kung medyo bitin pa. But in most cases, most of the customers, after natry nila yung ganitong setup, di na sila gumastos pa for a sub or bozooka. Very happy sila sa kinalabasan.

This kind of setup is not only suited for montero or strada, kahit anong suv or pickup pwede yung ganito, even for sedan na ayaw maglagay ng sub box sa trunk.

3. 4channel amplifier (placed under the passenger or driver seat)
4. Wiring Kit (upgrade to pure copper wiring kit is recommended)
5. Sound deadening on 4 doors (double wall if possible)

This topic is really helpful and it powers my curiosity to see what is down there beyond the front door panels. Thus, I open it up see attached pictures. But if you want to do it a nice way then let the professionals do it. :-)

is there an option where you only change the tweeters, front speakers, rear speakers plus the deadening sheets? As much as possible I'd shy away from amps.
This by the way is for a MS 2013 GLX model

same question & reservation here (2013 GLX).. as much as possible if kaya ng AVT HU i-power yung mga 100w aftermarket speakers.. but basing from the specs, 40w max RMS output ng HU baka mahirapan lang.. Sobrant BITIN talaga ako sa HIGH's ngayon.. Ayun, i peeped through my tweeter pod, EMPTY pala siya.. is there a way na kahit padagdag nalang muna ako na tweeter?

ahhh kaya pala ganun tunog ng montero kulang ng tweeter... hmmmm bka nga tweeter lang masaya na ako sa tunog...

guys, update lang. maselan ako sa sound quality when it comes to home audio setup pero nung nalagyan ko ng mumurahing tweeter (piezo type, non-crossover), just bolt-on.. for only P350 petot (Ground Zero), ayun masaya na ako sa output niya. konting timpla lang sa HU equalizer depende sa type ng music. Just a tip: as long as you play high fidelity CD's or at the minimum 256kbps bitrate MP3s, your stock setup + tweeters will sound just fine. (disclaimer: matinis ang high-freq ng piezo tweeter. its not for SQ purposes, but only to compensate the inferior stock speakers, and to those who want to spend P20-30k for performance rather than ICE (In-Car Entertainment system)

Ako bumili na ako ng isang set cheapest jbl separates i can find... 3.5k may separates ka na at tweeters na pasok na pasok sa stock housing gumanda na yung tunog. Ni hindi pa eto yung entry level na separates ah. Then deadening lang para buo ang tunog 3.2k lang ok na sya... walang amp pero maganda na.
