Claim muna sa warranty, para makuha ang new shocks. Saka na lang ikabit ang OME after. hehehe. Pwede na ibenta yung brand new OEM shocks.
Btw, is there a practical way to add a subwoofer to the Strada's audio system? Saan ba pwede ilagay?
Assuming a large box is impractical, anong subs ba ang maliit lang ang space requirements?

Busted shocks huh? Is this one of those "reliability issues" that has plagued Mitsu for the past years? If it is then its quite sad, especially for a one month young "all new" truck.
I was fortunate to drive one last week for a good distance (hi-way). The ride is good no denying that. I just felt that turbo lag on acceleration, very typical of turbo diesels on the Mitsus that I've driven.
Busted shocks. Must have been hauling elephants.

November 18th, 2006 01:44 PM #637Drave,
Thanks for the additional feedback! Agree with you na mas bagay and lid without rollbars to preserve the clean lines / design of the new Strada.
Also thought about new mags, but may just upgrade tires to 265 or 275x16 and keep the original mags which look good anyway and are sure to be durable. The owners manual specs indicate that 265/70x16 are ok. Will just transfer orig 245/70 tires to my Trooper which is due fore tire change soon.
Hopefully I can get the sports lid by December. Thanks again!

November 18th, 2006 01:48 PM #638to sir carlocaraddict, niky, mbt and to all tsikoteers, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! if it wasn't for you guys reviewing the strada, hindi makakabili kami ng strada dahil at first my dad is a pick-up hater because of the harsh ride common on pickups. after my dad had read all of your reviews then he decided to test-drive one and decided to buy one.... THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!

November 18th, 2006 01:59 PM #639My observations:
- sound system is good using FM and CD/MP3, but becomes better if using iPod.
(sagad na bass level and trebel just one level below the level of the bass)
- malakas ang hatak kahit low rpm very responsive ang throttle.
- tahimik ang engine for a diesel. diesel clatter is not noticeable inside the cabin,
but barely audible pag nasa labas ka.
- ride is superb! hindi bouncy.
- seats are a little hard pero hindi masakit sa bum.
- airconditioning is very cold
- maganda ang turning radius.

I am thinking of changing rims and tires of my Pajero Gen III. Would you be interested in the stock mags with 265/65r17 tires? This is almost brand new and is only 1100kms. Think this will fit the new Strada, same height but slightly wider (and is original mitsubishi).
