After seeing the interior spyshot, it looks like that it will have a more luxurious feeling than the Fortuner's interior. And I'm guessing that it will be priced lower than the Fortuner, all variants.

I think it will be in the range of P1.1-1.5M, from the base to the top of the line variant. Just like the strada, priced lower than the Navara, Ranger, and Hilux even it has more techy features than the 3 pick-ups.

And I'm also guessing that it will also have M/T tranny in the 4x4 model as well, beating the Fortuner again. But seeing the HU in the spyshot (which is the REAL stock HU of the strada, which according to the manual is integrated with the trip computer), knowing MMPC, they will changed it to a MP3/DVD/VCD/USB ready JVC HU and put up a drop down LCD monitor in front and put headrest LCDs for the rear passengers.

In the case of suspension, they will not use leaf springs at the rear. Instead they will use coil springs for a better ride than the Fortuner (this is expected because the new Montero Sport is based from the Strada, the most comfortable pick-up in the market and the softest ride in the pick-up market today).

Knowing MMPC also (they're really a fighter and wants to topple Toyota as the No. 1 carmaker in the Philippines), I'm guessing that they will put HIDs on the mid range to the top-of-the-line variant of the Montero Sport.

My only gripe is that it will not inherit the Pajero's 4x4 gear selector, which is very easy to use. Instead it will inherit the Strada's 4x4 gear selector, but with more gears to choose from. (it will use the Super Select 4x4, in contrast to the Strada's Easy Select 4x4). I do hope that this new SUV will have a full time 4x4.

Btw, there's a rumor that when MMPC starts assembling the Fuzion in its Cainta plant, the 4D56 DI-D CRDi engine will be installed in the Fuzion!

Hmmm... this New Pajero / Montero Sport looks very interesting. This I have to see in person.

I have been looking for a family vehicle to fit in six comfortably and at the same time a service car for both me and my wife to replace my aging 2002 Honda CRV and 2003 Isuzu Crosswind XUV. I hope this is it. Hopefully it is priced within my less than P2M budget.

Having a full-time 4x4 on the Monty Sport will increase it's fuel consumption. So no need, both Super Select and Easy Select are already old and proven reliable since they've been in service for more than 10 years.

I do hope the price is lower than the competition. Or better yet, same price yet having the best package (Safety, Toys, Driving dynamics).

But again, imo, it's still ugly and gay. Funny... Ugly and gay is like... uhhh!

No longer the old Monty Sport which is handsome (in some angles), cool in black color, supreme off-road performance.

You think Mitsubishi had set its crosshairs on the Fortuner?

I do hope it will be price below the Fortuner with more safety and comfort features, toys, and a better ride as well!
