Belt looks ok but if you'll scrutinize, may mga cracks na sa mga base ng ngipin kapag flex/bend ng pabaliktad. I was planning to stretch it to 100k kaso I fear na baka maputol at lalong lumaki ang gastos. Anyway, I ended up changing the following:

    1 timing belt
    1 balancer belt
    3 tensioner bearing
    1 balancer bearing
    4 oil seal
    1 a/c belt
    1 auto tensioner
then may isang parang pulley tinanggal ang bearing then pinalitan ng bago.

Less 16k yung parts and labor.
Didn't replace yung isang outer belt na mahaba, ok pa naman daw, inspect na lang ulit after 10 to 15k kms since madali lang naman daw palitan.
    Sir,

Question po san po kayo nagpagawa? My monty just passed 100k and i need to have my timing belts replaced.

    thanks

where did you buy your parts bos?

there's a timing belt package from my mitsu specalist suki and he quoted me about 12k for the parts. i'm just not sure if it includes all the stuff you replaced. but the a/c belt i already changed so i won't buy that anymore

Mitsu prime in las pinas. Possible yan 12k mo kasi di pa naman kasama labor.. at baka lang di kasama sa quote mo yung auto tensioner, verify mo sa list mo, that is priced at 2k++ kasi.

5 years? Hindi ba mileage lang ang basis? 5th year ko na pero 46k km pa lang e. Kailangan na ba?

Timing belt is made of rubber and will deteriorate over time. It is also subjected to high temperature making the rubber component hard and lose its elasticity. Once matigas na belt mo, it will start to crack and then break at ayan yung iniiwasan natin. Replacement of timing belt and other components is around 15 to 20k depende kung san ka papagawa, small price to pay if you'll compare it sa gastos kapag naputulan ka ng belt.
