April 14th, 2014 01:01 PM #1Alam ko sir walang kaso kahit naka tapak ka sa gas pag ng shift ka Sportronic mode, bali yung angat paa kasi kung sanay ka lang sa MT magmaneho, ina angat pa paa sa gas bago mag change gear, parang humihinga muna bago i rev ulit, pero sa Sportronic, pwede na hindi iangat, kaso lang para sa kin, mas maganda pakinggan kung ina angat muna tapos change gear tapos hataw. kunwari naka 4th gear ka pero me o-overtake-an ka na alam mo bitin, so lipat ka ng 3rd (-) tapos gas pedal pag naka bwelo at pumantay na o lumagpas ka na ng konti pde mo na pitik (+) para mag 4th gear ng naka apak ka pa din sa gas..

Next month pa yung next batch ng ganyan ko sir. Yung isang klase kasi na 4-button din medyo alanganin.

April 12th, 2014 06:49 PM #4I drove a GLX auto last night and this afternoon when we went to Laiya. I had some observations with regards to the handling of the montero. I found the steering on the heavy side. Also i noticed that the suspension is more "matagtag" than my current service vehicle that is an Adventure. 5 passengers with some bags at the 3rd row seats. I did not check the tire pressure so I did not have any idea if the "tagtag" came from the tires or the suspension itself. About the sportronic mode, i found it very useful particularly when overtaking. The most useful gear for me was the 2nd gear. On the contrary, there were also times that I had problems with using the sportronic mode as I found the mode "confused" on what the best gear to use when overtaking. With the 1st gear i heard a noticeable roaring sound of the engine but with the 2nd gear produced sluggish response. Maybe it was my timing, i really did not know. I loved the response of the brakes btw, i would prefer this than the response of the hyundai accent hatch which i found to be dependent on the speed of how you step on the brakes. Overall, the montero even non VGT is a beast.

yun tagtag kasi depende sa dinadaanan mo (daily route) siempre kung makaka iwas ka sa lubak lubak mas maganda, worth it kahit mejo long way ng konti lalo na kung asphalt road,yung iba nasanay sa kotse so siempre hinahanap nila walang tagtag naman, yung iba nagpapalit na ng aftermarket na shocks (4 pcs. palit) Rancho suspension/shocks, kaso bago pa yung sa tin so tiis muna, note na design ang montero sa off road use,
yung bigat iliko naman, ginawa ko kasi mataas muna 34 psi, sobra gaan malikot na sya, then bawas hangin pababa, road test lang, 29 walang tagtag pero mabigat sa kin iliko, 32psi na yung sweet spot ko, acceptable na sya (sa akin).
